What's your opinion on the benefits of the s13 vs the regular sized shrike? Have you ever tried the rmj loggerhead (with the hammer back instead of the spike)? What would be the ros/cons of the hammer instead of the spike for this kind of stuff? Thanks!

RMJ Tactical has teamed up with CRKT to make some affordable options. They've taken RMJ designs and used more cost effective manufacturing and materials to bring the costs down... Check out the CRKT Kanjee and Chogan tomahawks (not the CRKT WOODs Kanjee or Chogan, as those are wooden handled versions of the same designs). Also they just released the CRKT Rune tomahawk which is a cheaper version of RMJ's Little Bird. I have a couple of the CRKT models, and I have the full sized RMJ Shrike. Obviously the RMJ tools are WAAAAY overbuilt, but the CRKT models are pretty decent too (you can find plenty of tests here on youtube). Hope this helps...

My smith and Wesson evasion and extraction axe is one solid piece 1085 and is bigger and tougher but will weigh 1/2 a pound more for $70. This RMJ has better steel but not much better $480 on knife center that’s crazy my smith and Wesson axe’s point would of shot right through that hood and into the engine with one swing and a heavier blade end that will go through doors and walls much quicker than this RMJ don’t get me wrong I love the RMJ but $480 is overpriced by $280 and I just think it’s crazy that people pay an extra $280 for the brand name but I can’t blame RMJ if people wanted to pay me way to much money for stuff I’d definitely oblige.
