Good old Winnipeg. The most social and friendly Canadian city, by far, that I have lived in. Plus all that great sunshine, especially in the wintertime. I miss the 'Peg!

I love Winnipeg, this is a great city with a great people. I am not sure why there are complaints about mosquitoes, they spray when needed and they are not that bad - not as bad as when I visit the relatives in the surrounding country. As for the variety of seasons, I love that too. Hé Ho!

I think he was in Wpg maybe a week or two ago? I know Metro ran a brief article about him being in the city. Looks like it was perfect skating weather: around -15 c and sunny.

@aceman67 Yeah, you've been missing out. Barely any mosquitoes the last few years (lots of dragonflies, though!), and this winter has been warm minus maybe 3 weeks total.

Winnipeg may have the longest skating rink, but Ottawa still has the largest skating rink with the Rideau Canal! Just sayin'!

Sorry, I lived in Mainsnowba for quite a number of years, most of them in Winterpeg, I'm never going back unless its to visit my family, and then its in the Summer time, and I'm bringing my industrial strength mosquito repellent.

Lol!! Just caught 4 northern pike the other day. Kept one, cleaned and gutted it myself. Had A LOT of struggle getting the bones out. Especially all the ribs, lol. I might learn how to '5 cut' fillet it. Thanks.
