Yes it does, you need to have an RMX connected to the computer to install the plugin, but after that it works perfectly without the hardware. Of course it's always better with the physical controls.

The VST does the processing in the computer and the the RMX is just a controller when connected.

Pioneer DJ Do you guys have a tutorial up yet for the RMX-500 ? Also can the RMX 500 control 2 different instances of the vst in ableton ? For example if i have the vst one Deck A and Deck B, can i switch between which one im controlling ?

It has VST and Audio Unit, so whatever DAW supports that will take it.

Just a little question. I accidently left my RMX-1000 at a friends house in his studio, while he lives 1200km away. I do have the VST in my Ableton Live 10 Suite. Is there an easy way to map the RMX-1000 to my Novation Launchkey Mini MK2 ? I won't return there until early March next year.

Hi Zanny, do you want to use RMX-1000 only as a plugin or use the RMX-1000 as a plugin controller with those applications? If you run the RMX-1000 plugin on Logic Pro and FL Studio and use it as an application, let me tell you that it's possible. However, if you want to use RMX-1000 (hardware) as a controller, you may have some restrictions depending on what you want to do. Let me know if I can help with anything else. Thanks.

I'm struggling to load the plug in I have an M1- the RMX is connected by USB but the plugin VST software loader does not think so - so wont load the software - I spoke to Pioneer today they are looking at it - would not work on an intel mac too so think it could be a software problem

A question. I've got the legit version of Serato DJ and I've got Ableton Live 9 Intro (which came with my keyboard). Now, I also have the RMX-1000 in Ableton which is AWESOME. I'd like to practice with Serato DJ linked with Ableton, but can I use the RMX-1000 VST while mixing ? My gear: Serato DJ Pioneer DDJ-SB2 Reloop NEON RMX-1000 which is defective (I accidently poored cognac over it .. meh) Is this possible ?

Serato currently supports Ableton LINK and Ableton Bridge but from my research, you can't send audio from Serato DJ into Ableton and use a VST for example. This link might help a little with whats currently possible. serato.com/dj/expand-your-setup/ableton

@@YouriHL You would need to route the master out of serato to another soundcard input to ableton open a line in channel on ableton & run serato through then use vst on channel or on a send/return channel.

Hi, Allister, you can't use RMX-500 unit as the ext-hardware-effector with Logic, but you can use RMX-500-plug-in as plug-in-effectors on Logic.Also, you can control the plug-in on Mac or RMX-500 connected with USB cable. If you have bought the hardware and connected it at installation, yes. But otherwise not. so you have to buy it to get the plugin.

The plugin does not work, absolutely and totally. It shows corrupted after every change we proceed, recommended by you. Its a shame for the company u guys absolutely ignore many questions about this everywhere. Absolutely no support provided on the issue.
