Dude, I thought it was going to be your band. These guys are good though. Z.Z. Top has been one of my top five favorite bands for almost fifty years. Still cannot believe their catalog went for only fifty million.

That’s crazy! Yeah these guys have been good friends and resource for me. We’re still putting it all together with my band. Schedules for each of us are pretty tight!

Sane. They’re ok. I wanna see your band. Same colour bass and guitar and hats and jackets? Yeah nah. Are we trying to be Murph and the Murphettes like like in the Blues Brothers film ? Last time i checked? ZZ Top didn’t have matching hats, suit jackets or guitars. If that’s what these guys think sells them? Good for them. 6:38 they sound decent enough despite obviously recorded on your phone 🤘 Not for me though Cheers from NZ 😎🎸🤘

@PeterMoore350 depends on which year/era ZZ Top shows you look at. A lot of times they were wearing matching outfits/jackets. I’ve watched a ridiculous amount of live ZZ top show videos. They did that quite a bit. And they did have matching fuzzy guitars. Dusty did mostly use the same P Bass for almost a full show but the would use guitars with similar paint jobs quite often. Over the last 50 years.

@@RNAMusic well ill defer to you. I only saw what us over in Australia and yes now I live in NZ for work but yeah all the MTV videos etc. so in terms of seeing them play live? Im clueless there and happy to admit that because im ok with saying im wrong and im ok with being corrected. For any younger people reading this? It’s fine to be corrected in this way. It means and meant I learned something. Learning is good 😎 Being right all the time? Ha i could say something but no. Admitting you’re wrong and / or you made a mistake or an error? Shows that you have values, integrity and are a decent person. The ppl at RNA are decent ppl Peter

@ it’s all good my dude! What these guys have done, and what we’ve done is analyze what ZZ Top does on their live shows and tours over the years. In 50 years they’ve gone through various looks and cycles of stage show and attire. I did it mostly to figure out how Billy plays things live vs the album. Which is quite different someone’s. I’m using live ZZ too as a good template on how to do the “tribute band” thing. That’s when I really started Noticing their stage dress over the decades. Replicating what ZZ Top does at the live shows is kind of the aim. After researching a fair few other ZZ tribute bands, to me, Don, Mike, and Tim have all around done a great job with the looks and the music. I’ve definitely been wrong before lol. More than once. There’s also nothing wrong with something not being your preference, or not clicking with you. Some people think the tribute band thing is a bit odd. I’ve seen a few different ones over the years and most were good. Considering I’ll never see Led Zeppelin live the closest I’ll ever get is a tribute band. I had a friend who played in one and they were great! Clearly never be the same as Zep but hearing that music live was kind of fun
