I think "Bard" was the word he was looking for to describe Ren and his method of old-time storytelling. Ren is definitely a modern-day bard. I could picture him traveling around medieval times with a harp entertaining people in taverns.

You don’t need to use any filters for Rens content as he allows people to use his art freely, This is a masterpiece that everyone should see, pure art, all done with just a guitar, Ren can creates such vivid scenes in your head with just a few words and tone of voice, I’ve done a breakdown of the main characters in these tales with my theories of how they all fit together on my YT.

Apparently the content still gets copyright and fair use claims, REN and his distributor are now commenting on reactors videos saying that he has no issues with reactors using his music, yet KZbin and others are still trying to strike them for doing so, and has advised if the reactors gets a strike to mention that REN and his team approve them to react to it

@@DJQUAZER I have a Ren reaction dropping tomorrow, it says copyright but I looked deeper and it says “copyright protected content found. the artist allows this content to be used on KZbin “ so I wouldn’t worry it’s not a copyright strike

Ren's on a completely different level to Ed Sheeran!. Ed may be more successful and on a big label but he could only wish that he has a quarter of the talent that Ren has! Ren's a truly unique artist. A musical genius! A once in a generation talent! :)

I mean, Ed's a talented guy. And he can rap, apparently. But he's just a bit vanilla. Record label has to sell records kind of vanilla. That's fine for the kids. But the grown ups need music too! Enter Ren.

Ren is a modern troubadour and a true Renaissance man. Great reaction so far. It's a long one and I've yet to finish watching. I can't really choose between this and "Hi Ren", and in fact he's got so many songs that hit in so many ways, but having said that, "Hi Ren" will always hold a special place as it was my introduction to Ren.

It’s widely suspected that Jenny was probably a prostitute…what 14 year old is walking the streets late at night, alone, in heels. Streets she’s walked a thousand times before. I think one of the really interesting details is in Violet’s take at the beginning, before he starts walking…he has to gather himself to tell this difficult tale. Ren said that performing this takes a mental toll on him. Done the wrong way, Violet’s take could be off putting or even exploitative…but he handles it with such care. Can’t wait for you guys to discover all of his sides…I think he’s a once-in-a-lifetime artist and it’s been fun watching other people discover him.

You need to check out his live 360 version of these tales. He posted on social media and told people to go to Brighton rail statoin. They we're met by guys in masks and lead to a secret location for a free live version of the tales. The car park where he filmed screeches tale. About a thousand people turned up for an amazing show he performed extra content including a poem and a short song about Richard the police officer. You can pan the camera around and see the reaction of the crowd its wicked guys. On another note I've seen other reactors on youtube press the J button on the keyboard to go back ten seconds. Thanks for reacting to this. For me, the reason this story is important is that it shows Ren's empathy to the human condition which he has developed from his hardship. It shows Ren's genius as a story teller and shows his compassion (he composed a musical tragic story to honor the memory of people whose lives are tragically ended). I believe he points out in his "Eden" video how our current system is lacking and that mankind should exercise their gift of Free Will and turn this hell on earth into a better place.

This series is too good. There's a ton to unpack. The way he caps Screech's tale at the start and end. "This story it starts right at the end" and "This story it ends right at the start". The unspoken character painting with words in Jenny's Tale. High heeled ahoes, 14 y/o. Implying her working as street girl running away from a foster home as you find out at the end. The amazing parallel between the narrative in Violet's Tale and the accoustics. Violet's Tale goes from closed in to escapaing to closed in to escaping etc ertc and the camera and spatial acoustics follow the journey. Just a few of the many little gems tucked away in this epic. I couldnt tell you how many views this needs to experience fully because everytime I listen I find more nuggets of gold. Def recommend relistening more than once. Cheers.

Yes, when Ren is storytelling like this it's gained the name 'Bardcore,' and one reactor actually mentioned the show 'The Witcher' and the character of 'Jasker.' A Medieval Troubadour or Bard. The Tales are based upon a police blotter article in a paper Ren read, it was the story of a young prostitute killed by another youth during a mugging, then a responding officer killing the youth. In the article the commanding officer was quoted saying 'they were so young, it's such a shame.' 'It's such a shame' is a phrase Ren uses throughout The Tales. They were made a year apart, originally just Jenny & Screech, telling the story in the paper, but Violet's Tale was created to bring them back together as a story of multigenerational trauma, abuse, and neglect. Some seem to miss that Violet's father 'tuck her tight, but never left the room. I'll spare you with the things he did, I'm sure her mother knew.' She got out at 16, and to get a council flat under a welfare scheme she was likely pregnant, by her father. Stevie calls her a 'little liar' and a 'fucking slut,' this could be because he figured out that she was pregnant before they got together. Levels. 'Hi Ren' was the gateway acid trip for most who found him, and then explored the pharmacopeia of his back catalog as well as the strains of his new releases. 'Hi Ren' I'd put in his personal journey - illness path, while 'The Tales' are more of his social justice sort of work. Here is what I can think of for recommendations: Ren Gill Music journey - his illness path: Crutch Diazepam Chalk Outlines How to Be Me Sick Boi Cross between his path and his childhood best friend: Freckled Angels Suic*de For Joe Social Justice songs: Dominos Money Game Part 1 Money Game Part 2 Money Game Part 3 Eden

Yea you guys are pretty spot on in you understanding of the songs. Jenny and Screech are twins but due to Violet being murdered, it seems that their dad would’ve been thrown in prison and they were set into a foster care like system and were separated very early on. Despite not knowing their parents or each other, they are direct reflections of their biological parents. Stevie, was abusive and violent, and Screech is also very violent. While, Violet is timid and quiet, so is Jenny because she froze and didn’t speak to Screech when he approached her. The song was inspired by a story Ren saw in the news of a 14 year old being arrested for murdering a prostitute. Despite the origin of the song and the songs themselves being very depressing Ren’s intentions behind the song are to bring awareness to senseless violence but also a reminder that history repeats itself and in many ways it’s ingrained in us and passed down through generations unless someone stands up to break the chains of bondage

Very much enjoyed U2... keep doing Ren... w the mostly undesirable main stream music that we are stuck w today (actually before Ren it has been many years since Ive listened to new music, could get all my 90's and previous generations of music pretty easily) Ren was a breath of freah air. But now Ren is in my top 5 artists of all time and truth be told he isn't 2, 3, 4, or 5...didn't really have a 1 previous just a top 5 but after almost a year of listening to close to nothing but Ren I hope you keep on digging inro his catalog because it is like no other singer or bands play list...it fits no genre of music...it ia its own Renre and it is like nothing the worlds ever seen. And you will come to find that his story and from what ive seen his heart is as amazing! Hope you dive into the world of Ren and enjoy the ride! ✌️❤

Loved your thoughtful reaction. I needed to increase my volume to hear the brothers voice. Don't know if anyone else had this problem. Very happy to subscribe to you guys.

The Brother will pronounce his words better and stop mumbling - The Brother xD (I'm not used to speaking aloud, most of my dialogues are internal observations, so this is all new to me! thanks for tuning in!)
