Meet the Fleet: the RNLI's inshore lifeboats

There are three classes of inshore lifeboat, each with its own unique lifesaving features. From tackling big surf or rescues close to cliffs, to the fastest lifeboat in our fleet, here is your chance to meet them all.

The RNLI is the charity that saves lives at sea. 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, lifeboat crews around the UK and Ireland are ready to launch to help those in need. Whether you're stuck on a sinking ship, cut off by a rapidly rising tide, or in the water and close to drowning, RNLI crew members will drop everything to come to your rescue. 95% of RNLI lifeboat crews and station staff are volunteers.
But it’s not just lifeboats. RNLI lifeguards patrol 248 beaches across the UK and Channel Islands, keeping people safe, providing safety advice and rescuing those in trouble. Education volunteers visit schools and swimming clubs to help teach the next generation how to enjoy the water safely. And volunteer fundraisers and shop workers give up their time to generate vital funds. The RNLI is also working to help communities around the world that are most at risk of drowning.

I urge anyone who cares about life saving services to subscribe these guys are not funded by our uk government and less than 2 percent of funding comes from a direct government source these men and women put there lives on the line every day just to save us if we need them we turn children and normal people into millionaires on youtube everyday it would be nice if we could do the same for the RNLI a great cause

My town has unfortunately had their promised new Shannon relocated to an area where these are more appropriate, Why they need a Shannon on the tay river baffles me and want to use inshore boats in the North Sea, RNLI have failed us in my town and all the seamen who may need them
