Yeh I go for it every few rides. It’s short but fun. That vid was 18 months ago now so I quite know it well and the Neuron just eats it up so easily. Love it. Thanks for watching.

@@FiveMinuteRides do you live local to Loftus trails

You did well on a hardtail. I ride holy every few months (I'm from the gong) but only ever on a trail bike.
@FiveMinuteRides4 жыл бұрын
Thanks. I've just got back into riding after a decade and picked up this Giant about a month ago. Hoping to move to a dual suspension bike later down the track but for now enjoying this. There's some great DH tracks down the Gong. I grew up there riding the Mt Keira trails.

I love this trail, got my best time doing night ride through here. Once you have a good line it's pretty awesome.

Thanks mate. Can’t wait to get back to the RNP when lockdowns are over.

I love the trail to, do you ride here much?

Nice riding Ben, I would love to hit some trails in the Loftus area with you if you’re keen and If you need someone to show you around trails like bobcats, evenflow, wrong turn and savilles creek I‘m down to help you (I’ve basically memorised all the trails). Good luck for future riding and I hope to see you on the trails sometime. 👍

Thanks mate. I’m keen. I know a few of those trails pretty well too. Savilles Creek is one of my favs. Hit me up on Facebook or email me here at fiveminuterides@gmail.com

Nice work Ben. I ride all types of Rigs out there and my fav is actually to ride my Hardtail through there. As you become more familiar and quicker the use of a dual suspension rig becomes a little mute and boring. Holy Trail is certainly a fun trail but if you want to meet up for a guide through some of the other trails on the upper escarpment let me know.

Yeh man. I'm keen. Send me a DM via the email address in my About section or connect with me on Facebook. I'm keen to ride Bobcats next.

Nice video 👍 - you can skip most of the nasty fire trail climb out of there with some more sweet-ass singletrack!

Awesome! I recommend you also eventually ride and review: Mill Creek (including Hit the Turps jump line), Wylde (12 km loop is an amazing XC workout), Wicked Wallaby (lesser known, near Mill Creek - on trail forks, very fun little rocky loop), Oaks Singletrack (Woodford to Glenbrook is a great ride), Kentlyn (the rock trail loop/2 ridges 6 bridges/downhill jump line), Welby, Mt Annan, Knapsack, Hornsby, Appin (and definitely go to Appin bakery post-ride for the best pie ever) & eventually Canberra and Central Coast trails
@FiveMinuteRides4 жыл бұрын
Thanks. I rode Wylde just the other week but my GoPro stuffed up so I'll have to head back for another crack at the 12km. I'll check out the others you mentioned on Trail Forks. Cheers

So I ride Mill Creek today. Tough day though. Popped a tire on Hit the Turps. Should make an interesting video however.

@@FiveMinuteRides Mill Creek is pretty gnarly but there's a lot of variety and the jumps are fun. Hope the puncture didn't ruin the fun too much. Keen to check out the video

Nice vid, I'm looking forward to more. Is the the Holy Trail you rode on Strava as "creek track segment"? If so then yeah, I rode it a few years ago. Great fun. Let me know if you want a guide for doing the Central Coast trails.
@FiveMinuteRides4 жыл бұрын
Might be a while before i get to the Central Coast. But for sure when I get through a few more Sydney trails on the list. On Trail Forks it's called Holy Trail. Comes off the 4-way intersection at Creek Trail, Upper Middle Bogan and Signalhouse Track.

Cloud 9 I rode this again recently on my Neuron. Riding it on a dual suspension bike (and with a lot more experience now) was way quicker. Still a great trail

Haha funny you should say that... My day job's commercial directing (video production) although not much of that about while COVID is still hanging around! Thanks for watching. Shooting episode 2 hopefully tomorrow if the weather looks good.

You're luckier than me, I stacked it at that very same place. Spent 4 days in ICU at St. George and 6 weeks in a neck brace (small fracture of the neck vertebrae). I have a full suspension now...
@FiveMinuteRides3 жыл бұрын
Wow! That sounds crazy. I think the tough thing about that jump is it looks small on approach and the ride into it isnt very fast because the grounds so weathered and (i think) maybe even a little uphill...

@@FiveMinuteRides yeah it looks pretty mellow, but suddenly the drop is so high. Be careful about riding alone mate, stay safe out there.

Wallaby’s. Saw one just the other day. Just called them Kangaroos for the international viewers who might not have heard of a Wallaby before. They look the same just smaller.
