60 years ago ,I was living in the king Country at TeKuiti and Harvards were a great place for kids to play on 😁😁 you probably know the Story of how they ended up in the Tekuiti aerodrome and why they had the tails chopped off to fit them in Railway wagons..2:55 . That was because the chap who had bought them wanted to ship them to Tekuiti on the rail and the only way to fit them was to buy some axes and he and his mates chopped the tails off. As far a i know, the Harvards which ended up in TeKuiti were never flown and had been in that building for years, minus wings. My Dad as a teen used to play around on the Planes that were at Rukuhia outside of Hamilton after the US decided they didn't want their planes back. ,mostly, he and his mates were looking for cigarettes and rubber dinghies.

Thanks for sharing your memories. Had to laugh about your Dad checking out the aircraft hoping to find cigarettes and rubber dinghies! Good times to be a kid. 👍

Auto tyranny fluid and diesel, good cheap lubricant, frees up lots stuff. Plus a little heat.

Thanks for the great tip. If CRC fails to move things, I'll try that.

@@biplaneflights 50/50 acetone and transfluid,or brake fluid even works better than anything.
