My thought was that if you have the wings folded in it would go fast and be in stealth mode like irl but unlike irl you couldn't bomb in stealth mode and then if you have the wings out you would be slower and not in stealth mode but you could bomb

@@jujiwastaken fortunately, you can check the map to see if any lazers/hydras are active before you start a sale And the explosive sniper is a hard-counter to them, regardless. In contrast, a true stealth bomber which doesn't appear on the map and has bombs that _don't_ require pinpoint accuracy would basically be invincible as a griefing tool against any sale that doesn't have vigilant air support from the outset.

@@CognizantCheddar I'm starting to think you have never been griefed or you never griefed. No other tool is more destructive than a dive bombing lazer. This is a huge ass bomber with small ass bombs and they're hard to aim, they also do shit damage. Even if it had fast bombing rate, big blast explosions on the bombs, pin point accuracy and high damage, this huge thing is just a really big target and will be seen and countered. The lazer on the other hand can go off the radar and dive bomb directly from above and you'll have no way of defence at almost all

You talked about giving it huge bombs with huge radius. That is the topic here. It could then go to stealth high altitude, and carpet bomb with impunity. Like real life. Overpowered. And I've destroyed more cocky meme cannon users with my explosive sniper than I can count. Maybe it's tough for you on a gamepad. Its EZPZ with a mouse. You rarely even see Lazers and Hydras in PC public lobbies now.

You can always go back to PS3/XBOX 360. They got discontinued shortly after the Heist Update so the most overpowered thing is still the Hydra/P-996. I think you will find that even back then, you got blown up all the time by Hitscanning Fighterjets with explosive ammo that you could do nothing about because there was not explosive sniper and there's no way you are gonna get off the ground yourself while that thing is attacking you

Agreed this is my favourite addition. I fly the volatol all the time. Its fun as anything. Ye sweats kill u easy but i love bringing a bomber into other players experience. The size and sound of it is awesome when youre on the ground

Here's some ideas that would make the plane worth buying: Armor should be increased to 10 homing rockets. 150 bombs. Seating capacity at least 4 people. Wings should retract. Also when they're moved back the plane should get a speed boost and when they're forward it should fly slower to make bombing easier. Then to make high altidue bombing possible for which is was made for how about some new bomb. I thought a guided bomb would cool. So when you drop one the plane autopilots itself. Kinda like the guided missile but you're just falling.

It has a really weird feature as well. Above a certain speed, it will pitch really really quickly if you hold down either of the rudder buttons. So, you can be diving towards the ground, pull up at 50 feet or so, and it will basically just stop in the air before continuing as if nothing happened, without stalling

a fun strategy is to fly really high and find a target and then do the ultimate dive bomb on them. By the time you appear on the map it will be too late for them to react and you can bomb them. Also looks really cool flying above the clouds. A little too expensive but it does have its uses

The predator missile would be an amazing addition for this, you can have someone sit in the back and control it while you fly around. Maybe even put a few cannons of it like an AC130 that have larger range so it can be shot like an AC130 was meant to be fired

I would have liked to see guided bombs on this thing. Depending on your height the bomb becomes more or less controlable, or folding wings so ur able to speed up real fast whilst cant dropping anything. Imagine some radar on it, making it the only vehicle that can spy out those submarines. Man this thing had so much potential but now its just as useless as all other bombers...

I think the Ro-86 has been added specificaly to counter the Submarine. With the stealth ability it can sneak up to subs and then ether bomb them from high altitute (after all the submarines are massive and usualy dont move/dont move very fast) or drop altitute right in front of the submarine, do a few bombing runs and ether run away or outright destroy the submarine before it has time to react. That is why it comes equipped with cluster bombs when you buy the plane. Since cluster bombs have the highest direct hit vehicle damage they would be the best choice for sinking a submarine.

I bought this thing and I've been flying it around a lot. I love it. I have all the functional vehicles that I need, so I bought this because I thought it would be cool. It's fun to just fly around and drop bombs from high altitude. I love the handling. It wants to be a LAZER but it doesn't realize how big it is. I will say that it's very inconvenient to access and rearm, but it's so cool that I happily put up with it. It's not for everyone, but I like it.

1. Guided bomb. You can lock on similar to a missile, but it can only change direction while falling down. 2. Add a bomb site which gives you more magnification and gives you a crosshair where your bombs will drop factoring in inertia

I think there is a way you can make this somewhat practical. You fly it on its stealth altitude until you reach your destination. Once, you reach the area you immediately try to bring the plane down quickly to an altitude desired for bombing. Once your done bombing you immediately bring the plane back up to its stealth altitude.

It's a fun plane to fly. It's nice that it's stealth not for bombing, but to be able to enjoy flying at high altitudes for fun without interruption. Unless you're spotted, even then it's a fast plane that can take a beating. Cool plane to be a squadron leader with.

With it being a jet plane, its pretty bloody fast. I find that if I'm quick enough I can drop down to a easier bomb dropping height, drop a few bombs and then fly back up out of radar reach very quickly

Some of y’all are getting to carried away. The solution is gta needs to stop creating the same thing with a different skin. For instance not every vehicle with rockets should, shoot the same rockets, the same way, the same size a damage, the same look. Only difference is the tracking abilities and fire rate/capacity. For the vehicle in the video rockstar should have made, a special sniper explosive cannon, tht shoots either really fast and small like the alien guns laser, or slow and bigger then ever explosion. They also need to start making vehicles have realistic passenger size, it’s always the aircrafts tht is a problem. And the passengers in any fighter plane costing over 2 million should have something to do and contribute. But yea there’s so many things rockstar could have done with all the vehicles they added, they should of made everything more personal and super strong in a niche. People would actually use different vehicles for different reasons and different fighting strategies. And be better or worse at using certain killing machines. But instead everyone just uses mk2 oppressor. Maybe the torredor deluxo or lazzer instead. Different ammo types, explosion types, cross air/sights/ways of shooting, super armoured types, super agile types, buffed anti aircraft ground content, etc

Don’t know if anyone noticed but when going straight down it handles like a Lazer when it stalls. Pretty much move the left or right rudder and pull up and it’ll stall insanely weird.

It looks cool, but definitely a fair review of the plane, it’s kinda useless, except for the one mission were you bomb the island. Reminds be of that one mission where you bomb the antennas in the Volotal for the Doomsday heist, it was pretty much useless after that

Me and my friends have come up with a game, you get 1 alkonost and 3 Luxors and the Luxors have to try and ram head first into it. I came up with this when me and my friend were testing it out and I flew a Luxor straight into it and he annihilated me completely, right out the air and for the alkonost it was but a scratch and it didn’t start to smoke.

Missed opportunity to make this a group reliant/rewarding bomber. -AA Cannons (Same as Avengers / controlled by a maximum of 2 passengers) -Tracking Missile (Same as Kosatka / controlled by a maximum of 1 passenger for balancing) Pilot should also be able to engage / disengage stealth mode for otr similar to the Akula.

Me and my friends have managed to glitch at least 6 of us into the plane at once if we press the enter button at the same time and we sit in the back and it looks like we are in the back of a titan. Even though it says 2 people it can fit more but its still not that useful

Actually I'm finding that if I turn with L3 gear stick then hold either L1 or R1, it will turn very fast and easily either direction for a short period. I can imagine that might be useful when being followed by a rocket. It's also sort of usefully strong and can take off from some pretty tight confined positions so that's quite fun. But yeah I wouldn't buy it if you had other stuff you want to buy first...

I feel like the way to make this plane better is to actually have a bombing camera in the game. With a targeting reticle instead of just having a camera that looks down because that is not a bombing camera

I own most of the planes. The Alkonost and Akula are the militarized ones still on my list. I have to say, I don't think any reviewer has really understood any of their planes and their real abilities. It kinda sucks that it doesnt stealth like the Akula but my bet is the idea is to hit and run. That's probably what the good handling is for. You only need the stealth for surprise and escaping if a plane is coming.

What they should do is make it faster, actually make the wings sweep back when going supersonic, add a bigger payload of 45,000 kg, add KH 55 cruise missiles and KH 16 hypersonic aero ballistic nuclear missiles. Plus a navigation and weapon aiming system implemented with a optical-electronic bombsight with automatic terrain following systems.

It should have some guided missile and be a 10 or 12 seater ,with special turrets like the ones for the avenger thst are guided ,and maybe ,MAYBE a canon or normal homing missiles if you feel extra

This thing needs a weaponry update and swept wing ability. The real life counterpart is a supersonic deep penetration bomber, meaning it can outrun pretty much anything, in and out destroying its target long before its detected.

If you use it in a certain fashion, this plane can be pretty damn good. If you use the Volatol in a certain way, you can rack up kills with it. A few weeks ago I did a 15-2 on a tryhard with the Volatol.

On the heist it has a cargo bay, which would be extremely useful if you could use it in freemode, and it's a huge dissapointment that you can't use it

i think they put it in to counter the sub however it would be hard to hit something even as a large as a sub at that altitude
