Hey dev yea it is messing up around 3:55 on multi devices, not sure must have been a compression and processing error. Might try some of the flush valves while I can get my TDS to 0 or 1 from well water at 680-710 I do go through a lot of resins. I have even changed to a separated resin system and it is definitely the anion that gets eaten up fast. Going to add a booster pump I think see if that helps.

TDS of 60ish would sure be nice. Most areas have 200+ TDS . Mine is over 300 TDS. I'm running dual membranes in the water saver configuration and still get a TDS out of the membrane of 12-15 TDS after a 2 minute flush.

most are 95-98% rejection rate so you can only filter out soo much! so about 6-15 is what i would expect from it

I appreciate the tips - For I am about to setup my RODI unit. Question - instead of all the Y and ball valves, couldn't you just use two 3-way ball valves....one before the membrane to flush new carbon cartridges, and one after the membrane for drinking water and to alleviate TDS creep?

Awesome video! Right after I was talking about my ro system as well lol. I need to get some t valves n such. I go through so much resin. Hopefully this helps. I have high TDS to start with. I do have a flush valve for TDS creep but never flushed the carbon. Was in back of my mind but wasn't sure if I should put something before the membrane to rinse or just use the flush valve. 4tds should eat though DI that fast Do I would test for Chloramine in your water as it may be eating up your filters and if so you may need those special carbon Blocks

My unit is the brs waters saver 150 per day. I get about 100 gallons of 0tds oit of a canister.? Man I'm lost if your going that far. I always flush prior to uses, but maybe I need to do.sumtin? Flushing pre DI before i use the water gets rid of the TDS creep and makes them last ages! Key to long DI life
@gabesreef5 жыл бұрын
Awesome tips, thank you!!
@CrimsonNando4 жыл бұрын
so after your carbon filter you have a 'T' which tees off to waste ( clear tubing) which you use to manage TDS creep, but you also that grey 2 way valve that you use to flush the carbon filter to waste. Don't these two do exactly the same function? Both just dump water from the carbon filter to waste, why do you need both?
@ReefDudes4 жыл бұрын
Michael Firth the carbon one is before the membrane and only for new carbon blocks. The other for tds creep is pretty DI which is after the membrane and I sue that before each use
