After rewatching this clip and checking a bit of the vod to this. I think theres a lot to take from here. Its clear Shoto is just very inexperienced however lots of the points he made are relatable in terms of conversation like the being interrupted. Plus the whole bit with a conversation having your partner interact or show reaction, "paitning the picture with you" is quite a different way to have a conversation that can be quite positive as compared to dumping it all out. Then again, they are definitely best friends, yet one thing is definitely clear. Understanding women takes perspective and you need to see it from how they see it to understand. Women arent entirely difficult, they are just a pain to understand and i mean that in the least derogatory way possible.

Okay, I get that bro is terminally single, but he's right about the story telling part. This is like building a house. Shoto has the blueprint, the girl doesn't. He's trying to tell her all the steps to build the house and she's asking 20 questions about each step along the way, when she could just hold her questions to the end and half would be answered already and the other half would be simpler to answer. By interjecting at each step, the blueprint takes longer to share and the likelihood that one of the steps is forgotten before the entire blueprint is shared increases. A story is just a form of information transmission from one person to another. Men are all about transmitting the information as efficiently as possible, where no enjoyment is gained during the process but you get to the enjoyment of the conclusion of the story faster. Women try to enjoy the process of transmitting the information as much as the information itself, which is very inefficient. It can, rarely, lead to more enjoyment overall, but is far more likely to lead to forgetting important elements of the story before the story can be completed, leading to less enjoyment. tl;dr The men are right. Efficiency is always the right answer.
