ROAD CYCLING CHALLENGE | 215KM DRAGON RIDE WALES 2023

The follow up to the cycling kit prep video - taking on the epic bike challenge that is Dragon Ride Wales! Which is one of the most incredible rides I've ever done. I opted for the Dragon Ride (215km, 3500m elevation) with Isaac taking on the Dragon Devil. The Dragon Ride includes hills such as Black Mountain and one of the Top 100 climbs: Devils Elbow.
Such a superb event, so chuffed to complete it and feeling like it's kick started the official cycling challenge bug... For context, I only started working towards endurance riding in February this year. Building up from coffee pootles and starting to hill climb. And I'm so glad I did. Best best time.
Rode on a s-works tarmac, with Ise on his Cannondale SuperSix Evo.

wow !! what a great achievement !! It looked liked such a beautiful place to ride bike..You are both amazing. 160KM is the farthest I have ever rode and with alot less hills.(mountains). I crossed 3 states last year on my bicycle. For a total of 1,500 miles. They were 3 seperate events.One was RAGBRAI, that was a crazy week. I'm old, but I'm still pedalling. I love watching cycling videos. You do a great job with them.

Are you doing the dragon ride next year? If so same distance or would you adv the 100mile one?and do you think you need do down load route or is it well sign posted

Potentially! I have a big event just after it so I might need to see how things go. Honestly I thoroughly enjoyed it, so whatever distance you feel comfortable doing or training for. The event is so much fun and a brilliant challenge! You get given the route files and it’s always worth having, but it’s also very well marked out and lots of people there on the course!
