That's a great ride. My wife has been as far as the first viewpoint in the past, but is planning to ride to the lighthouse next Thursday. Fingers crossed for you Julie.🤞

Great road, much wider than when I first went up in a Seat 600 in March 1961! Ssingle track much of the way, tight hairpin bends, coaches had to reverse back and take 2 or 3 goes to get round! Thanks for the journey again.

It's amazing to be in summer kit again after a long wet winter and not a much better summer before that. Looks like we'll have to go back as Julie still hasn't finished the lighthouse ride to her satisfaction 😁

Well, done Julie. You inspire me to do better with my riding. And I'm with you regarding the descending. 35mph or so and I start to pucker a bit. What a beautiful ride. I think that I'm adding Mallorca to my cycling wishlist. We actually had springtime weather last weekend here in Boise. I got out both days for 87+ miles. 52 on Sat. with 2247ft of climbing. Trying to get the climb muscles built up for my other wish ride in June. I'm driving to northern Idaho to ride the Route of the Hiawatha trail, plus some extra rail trail for 52 miles total. There are 9 tunnels that I'll see twice, so I'm thinking there may be a yee-haw or two along the way.

Great video and seeing the sun and blue skies. The air force must have known you were there to give you a fly past. That was a fast decent, I hope you don't have hookless rims (I would be scared the tyres would roll off the rims).

Wow! Now that was spectacular - easy to see why you and all the other cyclists love Mallorca. As for knowing your limits, in terms of speed - maybe we slowly push them, get comfortable, then push them a bit more. For me, right now, 40kph is the edge of my comfort zone.

It's a fantastic place to ride. The climbs are manageable and mostly consistent in fantastic surroundings. There's always a cafe Less than 15 km away.😁 An amazing place 👍

Back to Mallorca, nice! I'm planning on going again in a few weeks and this time staying in the south at Palma Nova. I know you both went last year and rode from Palma(?) when was that as I'll check out your routes again. Also if you have any thoughts/tips for riding in the south please let me know. Thanks Steve.

Hi Steve, we stayed in Santa Ponsa and had some great rides but the ride we took to Llucmajor could have been better, especially coming back in through Palma definitely needs changing. Have a good trip 👍

Oooh exciting Andrew! 🌞👍🚴🏿‍♂️🚴🏿‍♂️🚴🏿‍♂️My tip would be to go early on in the day, it'll be pretty warm in August. Take plenty of water and refuel at the lighthouse! 😊

Definitely start early to avoid the heat and traffic. It should be car free for the 2nd half with just the occasional bus to watch out for. Have a good trip and thanks for commenting 👍

@@WheelersAtLarge My favourite downhill in 1960 IRL was always the B3069 from Kingston pub all the way down to Swanage. That was followed by the downhill through Studland and whizz non-stop through the toll gate. Branksome Chine passing the beach was good. On FulGaz I have countless 70-90 km/h Alps and Cols to race down in perfect safety.

Hi, how long have you had the Merida Scultura and would you recommend the bike, I’ve seen a couple on offer and unsure whether to buy one as I wanted a giant tcr advanced but the Merida offers a bit more value like carbon wheelset, great videos and channel btw 👍🏻

Hi, coming up to a year now. As I'm not really built for a full on aggressive race bike mine is the Endurance version (like the Giant Defy) so slightly relaxed and room for 32mm tyres. That said, it has been excellent with great power transfer, responsive handling and comfort on long rides. Which ever you decide on I'm sure you'll love it. Cheers for watching
