Man... I feel sorry for you. I mean, really... you're a one-man army, facing the entire absurdity of what is known as India's traffic. You have my respect for your awareness of the chaotic traffic in India, and the general disregard for even a semblance of order and lawfulness on Bangalore's roads. However, I can't help but feel sorry for you... you're just one person (ok, surely there are a few others like you) attempting to walk against a typhoon. I admire your will to make a positive change... and I suppose, positive change always starts with one person, one idea, one word. I've been to India on two occasions (and have also spent time on countless other nations). The chaos in Bangalore especially, and really... complete disregard for most traffic laws is, almost a tourist attraction in itself (I recall stepping out for the first time... my jaw just dropped... cell phone out, and I couldn't help myself but to record it all, as if I was watching some sideshow). Funny thing is, people looked at me (a tourist) all funny, wondering "Hmm... I wonder what he finds so interesting here... we're just... driving our scooters...". Every second, watching Bangalore street traffic is like watching a circus for those of us, foreigners, accustomed to order and traffic regulations followed on the streets of our cities- be it Tokyo, Vancouver, Berlin, or Budapest. ;)

I can't drive bike yet.. But I see 12 yr old kids driving scooty on road in peak hour. Accident bound to happen but u can't do anything.. Bad Drivers of Bangalore as u started driving recently, I tried to drive safe, then I understand the problem a driver face. My friends who sometime sit on back side of my scooter say if u drive like this u can't drive on Delhi roads. (as I tried to give way to pedestrians while they crossing Road, or someone coming from opposite side nd want to go to his right from front of me. They say "don't apply breaks" guy in front of u will apply himself. U keep driving. Nd u also have to admit it, when u were a teenager u cross those roads nd walk carelessly.. With mindset that "driver" will take care of himself. I am not saying u r wrong. But This is mentality of ours when we walk we say driver will take care himself nd when we drive we say how moron they r they don't know how to walk on road. My friends/people in society almost everyone on roads walk more carelessly on roads leaving everything on the car/bike diver to drive accordingly. Nd if u hit them it's ur fault. U don't know how to drive. They say u to me (as I walk on side of road or wait to turn the signal red before crossing Road) u take to much tension. Some time tey say u r "coward".. Thats how we all grown up.. With this kind of mentality.. It will take time nd it will improve when u teach ur younger one right thing.

I saw a man driving his car among school leaving kids while talking on his cell phone :-) I shouted, but that man did not seem to be bothered. My phone camera did not start immediately, else I would have made a video with registration number !

Whole of my life I was following driving rules , but coming to Bangalore I'm really afraid of driving, no lanes, no indicators, no speed limits, who comes from where no one knows , but one thing is for sure even if traffic is jam infront people will frantically use their horn with no reason ,I never use horn, if someone is crossing just slowdown let them cross, and also people don't keep safe distance that is most dangerous act, THE BEST THING IN DRIVING IS KEEP DISTANCE, YOU WILL HARDLY FALL FOR ACCIDENT,

It happens only in India. Once a woman crossing a road with a bundle of clothes on her shoulder without seeing the road. Literally i am shocked. Once man crossing a road like a traffic police asking everyone to stop to cross road. I am going with a speed 50. We can see freedom of Indians ONLY on roads.
