My biggest pet peeve with cork is people saying "oh just slap it on there, it looks like rocks/stone/whatever." No, it looks like cork painted gray. Nice to see someone else pointing that out!

I know this is an 8 month old comment - but perhaps that's "letting perfect be the enemy of good". Using cork is a step above just painting a sandy base grey and white. covering the cork in plastic putty is a step above that. Any of them are fine really.

Awesome build. Probably doesn’t matter for something this small but Gorilla glue bonds better if you add a small amount of water to the opposing surface.

For all the tutorial parts of our videos we use an old Canon T2i and for almost everything else we use a Panasonic GH5s!

to give them variety in pitch, otherwise, it will be a sea of compleatly flat bases which would not be very natural.
