Come on folks, we've seen five minutes of these people's lives, yet the majority of people want to take a four year old from her PARENTS. Wow sounds as a hasty a decision as pulling a gun is, for a silly traffic incident. To me taking a child away from the only people that will love them as a real parent can. At four years old and you want to totally turn this child's life upside down that sounds like a real American thing to do. Ya know, people elsewhere solve problems with discussion, in America you can use a gun cos thats the way you've done it since the cowboy days, it's in you culture, its how your heroes became heroes. And is at the place where all your problems start. What's wrong with people who feel naked without that gun. And those who live by the gun tend to die by it, but usually innocents get lead not intended for them, so there's the rub. Why can't American people get civilized, grow up some, your politicians want to keep ruling the world, without ruling yourselves. Would be great to hear from people in the US to let me know where I F'd up, as I've generalized muchly

After I finished grocery shopping at my local store, I went to my car heading home but as I leave the parking spot this blonde lady came close crashing her vehicle into mine. She honks at me while her son comes cursing at me as if it's my entire fault our vehicles almost collided. I thought about leaving my car and breaking her windows to send them a message or worse, however. I decided that was too violent and instead flipped them the bird as I drive away freely. You see, in every situation there are choices, you may not have direct control over a situation but you do have control on how you react and respond to those situations. Stay vigilant, peace.😁

Here's the follow up on the court case: District Attorney Scott Thomas said Bradley Turner, 44, pleaded guilty to the attack. photo WNCT photo A judge then suspended the prison sentence, and placed Turner on 36 months of supervised probation. He ordered him to pay court costs and to pay restitution to the victims. He also ordered that Turner have no contact with the victims, including no direct or indirect contact by social media. Turner must undergo anger management classes, and will be subject to electronic house arrest with an ankle bracelet for the first 6 months of probation. Turner cannot possess any weapons, and if he is found in possession of weapons, he will be arrested under a $100,000 bond.

I don't agree with the psychologist who argues that all people are susceptible to Road Rage. Yes, we are susceptible to getting angry, but acting on that anger is another dynamic. It is a matter of regulating our emotions. Clearly, that father in the beginning of the video did not know how to regulate his emotions. Imagine what his children must have endured living with him.
@fredwarsaw57823 жыл бұрын
Spot on!!!
@DejanJancevski2 жыл бұрын
Exactly! Any good psychologist, social worker, or professional counselor would tell you that "road rage" is expressing one's anger in an aggressive manner. Getting angry is innate, but expressing it aggressively is NOT innate: it's a LEARNED BEHAVIOR! As a psychologist, he sucks. He even suggested going to the gym to "punch away" the anger. IDIOT! Punching a bag in anger only reinforced your angry behavior (in this case, punching)...so what happens when your gym is closed? What will you punch then?!? Here's a thought: instead of flicking someone off and making the excuse that "everyone" is susceptible to "road rage", just own that you yourself (psychologist or not) grew up learning to display your anger aggressively. Simple. Own it. Instead, he lied about it. Pathetic. And for the record, you can UNLEARN displaying your anger aggressively, and instead LEARN to express it ASSERTIVELY!
@jennifer95282 жыл бұрын
Meh. To be honest, the psychologist they interviewed didn't strike me as being top-notch. Anyone can go to school and get a degree in psychology; that doesn't make them any good at their craft. Case in point: he flipped a guy off rather than employ exercises to diffuse his own anger. The fact he readily admitted to flipping off another driver for tailgating him (though he didn't say why the guy was tailgating him and waving a bat out the window) as though it's perfectly normal behavior tells me he was completely projecting when he said everyone has the potential to be a road rager. I'd be willing to bet he cut the other guy off as though he owned the road and didn't feel any obligation to acknowledge his blunder or express remorse, in a sense egging the other driver on. So I'll just consider the source, then I'll take it with a grain of salt. But to get at the heart of the matter, by road rage, does he mean flipping the middle finger? Or does he mean going full-on psycho and threatening to kill someone? He doesn't really define it, nor does the news story distinguish between the two. There is a difference, yet this news story really seems to conflate the two. It was a nice attempt, but the story just didn't deliver. No one explained why someone snaps and turns psychotic on the road.

I avoid road rage at all costs. It's not my job to teach other people how to drive. One time this person was pissed at me, I had to stop and he jumped out of the car and ran to my window, at that point, I said I was sorry, and it took him for a loop. He didn't know what to say. He said never mind, and went on his way. Even though it was his fault, I didn't care, all I wanted to do was to diffuse the situation & it worked.

So, is all that rage worth it? I have had several incidents that I could have pushed further. But I drop it and go on my way. Does that make me a wimp? No it makes me smart. The hi way is not a place to prove my manhood. And for what? I do think this man's wife and this man's masculine identity had much to do with what happened. My proof, the long drive to follow the truck, much time for conversation, much time to think this through and calm down, the wife got the gun and handed it to the husband. Did the husband feel he had to prove his manhood? I have been married, I have experienced how women, by their own nature, can push things.

If this irrational driving rage continues, a mandatory law will be established to revoke a person's driver license, gun permit, deny the right to have a gun in a home and refuse gun purchases; up to time in prison for those who engage in road rage. Also, keep in mind that the absence of road courtesy only results in road rage for which there is no justification. As for those who do have a family, it will be if they think twice.

The man followed them for a long ways and had plenty of time to cool off and make a better decision but he chose not to. One mistake he made was throwing that punch when they were two of them and one of him. And his wife made a major mistake handing him a pistol after he had been hit several times. And unbelievably came back again to fire shots at his truck ridiculous. I hope the courts take this very strongly and seriously and set some examples here to deter this kind of violence. I have seen these people do this with big trucks on the road not knowing how long these drivers have been driving how stressful driving is very dangerous situation. 🤔
@jennifer95282 жыл бұрын
I get cut off all the time. I usually just assume they didn't see me, and hit the horn to let them know I'm right there. The length of time I sit on the horn depends entirely on the situation and whether or not I think they can see or hear me. But I don't keep laying on the horn for several more seconds after they've corrected their mistake or I've maneuvered to avoid an accident. That doesn't accomplish anything. The event is done. It's just a careless mistake; not like they can undo it, so why drag it out? Driving on is pretty simple. Road rage happens when people feel entitled and like it's their right to teach others a lesson. People snap for any number of reasons like high stress, drug abuse, or an over-inflated sense of entitlement bordering narcissism just to name a few. I think we all just have to remember we share the road with each other, mistakes are going to happen, none of us knows what stress anyone else is dealing with in their lives, and we should give each other a little slack. It will end in our favor almost every time. Peace.
