Road Rash II - Character Commentary

What makes for a great video game? a solid plot? highly entertaining levels? epic graphics? or memorably pleasant music? sure, but what of the core faces of a game? that's right! I'm talking about the characters! Or in this case, the strange commentary you'd receive from them after every race.

There's one I distinctly remember but didnt see here. I think PE. NO.1 said "I tried to leave you in my dust but by the time you'd caught up to it it had already settled."

It's crazy how many of these there are. This isn't even all of them! I swear I remember one where O'Rourke was all like "Stay the hell out of Vermont!" There are some here I've never seen though, like Public Enemy #1's "god in the air, devil on the ground" line.

I remember feeling genuinely bad when I upset Natasha. I think I had a crush.

She seemed to really cheer you on at the beginning didn't she? maybe as the game progresses, so does her competitive side?

@@EarthOfAdjay I got all the way to the 5th level, (which I believe is the last?) though I never did beat the game. She stays as sweet as you are to her at least up to that point.

Yeah, even if you hit her accidently, she won't be mad... but if you beat her until she falls off her bike, prepare for her wrath

​@@Cluez31In the first game if you just hit her, she'll be mad at you but eventually be nice again, but if you knock her off her bike she'll be mad at you and permanently stop talking to you. She doesn't get mad at you in this game if you just hit her?

@@user-hd7he7vy4s I don't believe so. Because I remember hitting her when I was trying to hit Viper.. I whipped her with a chain and put her energy in the red.... And after the race she still was smiling with a positive message. But then I just wanted to see what it'd be like if I hit her and knocked her off her bike... and yeah..after that race, she was pissed with the mean face. I also noticed that Natasha is the only "friendly" who seems to stay friendly with you to the end. Kakana, Slater, Chino, Roz...they were all hitting me when we got up into the 4th an 5th levels.

Road Rash II. The best game in the Road Rash series apart from the first one.

The phrase about twisting player into danish gotta take the cake. I've also remember commentaries form Buffy being in the game, but then i play the game now i don't see commentaries from him anymore, don't know if i misremembered or his commentaries require very special circumstances

Agreed, that comment really was something! From my experience playing RR2, I don't recall Buffy ever appearing with any character commentary, as for some of the others, like Sven, Jorg, Chino & Warhammer, they appear when you reach certain levels in the game. As I haven't completed the game, there might be some I missed out on, so it could be that Buffy perhaps appears in one of the last levels.

Man i always hated viper him and me we always fight each other know matter what place i was in he was always right behind me we would fight each other on all of the levels man i hated him
