Road Review: Morgan Plus Six

The Morgan Plus Six certainly belays its archaic appearance. Whilst having a lot in common with the BMW Z4 and Toyota Supra, the Morgan’s weight savings and lack of assists make it a much more engaging and characterful drive. The 3.0-litre, turbocharged straight-six kicks out 335bhp through a capable eight-speed automatic transmission. But the gripes are in the details… #gwfirst

Because it shares the powertrain with the z4/supra that does not make it one underneath. It's still a Morgan chassis using wood and aluminum. Get it right please

The chassis is not wood, that's just used to hang the non stressed bodywork on. But an automatic transmission? Oh hell no!

Love the look and style of a Morgan and the fantastic history to continue making the same look of a car over the years. I love the 3 wheeler as well! but really don’t agree with the automatic gear box especially the paddles.. just seems like Morgan are contradicting themselves by doing that.. but each to their own I guess.

1:34 It looks like it's about to come apart - I haven't seen panel gaps and poor fitment like that in many years, not even on old Morgans. I can only assume it's a result of teaming up with BMW.
