I have a 2014 Avalon that I've been very happy with. XLE model with sport package which gives it a very different look than the standard model. 19 inch BBS wheels, spoiler, pin striping. Since I've had it, I've only seen two other like it on the road. I've always been into more sporty cars, traded a 2008 Infiniti g37s for the Avalon. It has enough power for easy passing and I always keep it in sport mode. Super comfortable with lots of trunk space. Financed for 60 months at zero percent interest which was a big selling point. Seven more payments and I'm done. Plan on keeping it a while as I'm retired now and don't put many miles on it. I've only got 12,560 miles on it! It still has the new car smell inside. It's built in Lexington, KY and Toyota calls it the Lexington Lexus. The color is called sizzling crimson mica combined with an almond interior. Always get compliments on it. Sure, I'd like to get a new car when it's paid off but being on a fixed income and with so few miles, freeing up that payment is more important to me.

I’ve already put over 25k trouble free miles on my Avalon. The only problems I have had are ones I’ve caused myself (I’ve bent two rims from not being used to driving a vehicle with low profile tires) Aside from that, this is the most powerful and luxurious car I’ve ever owned even if it’s only a polished up Camry I would love another and I’m not even finished with my first one yet.

Experts, Enthusiasts and owners KNOW Japanese vehicles LAST. You see tons of Toyota's with over 200k with NO REPAIRS, I had a 86 Accord I could shift without the clutch! scrapped it at 386k. STILL FELT SOLID! When you drive a new GM product right off the lot it's rattling and squeaking! I KNOW I had 6 within 5 years. ALWAYS IN THE SHOP! We KNOW imports last. But when Toyota can make a QUALITY car almost entirely in the US, and hire more Americans than any of the big 3, THAT'S WHAT I'M BUYING.

I have been in the same boat with you in regards to GM. Had 8 GM vehicles in about 9-years time, ranging from family sedans to the Suburban. They all had issues that ticked me off enough to sell it or trade it in towards another GM. Unfortunately, I had large discounts due to organizations, so I always looks at them first. Now, I simply don't care about the discounts offered. I've had 2 VWs and 4 Hondas that have been 100% problem free.

I have one. The downside is the driver seat is about as uncomfortable as it can get. The upside is the pickup, responsiveness, and mid-corner speed, with great grip in the turns. It gets about 20MPG realistically with combined (Highway and City) driving. If it wasn't for the backbreaker of a driver seat, I'd highly recommend this car.

It's fine for just a normal drive, but not really for long road trips in my opinion. I drove up to Atlanta which was about an 8 hour drive and my butt bone was throbbing by the end of it, but that might be partly because I'm pretty thin and don't have much cushion down there.

Are you sure, I asked the salesman and he said it did not and I can't find anywhere that says it does. If it did that would be great. For some reason the ES gets the heated steering wheel and the Avalon gets the heated rear seats, which makes no sense at all. Then you look at cars like the Inifiniti M and the same crap again, you can spend $70K on that car and still can't get heated rear seats.
