Un Milan molto diverso da quello degli anni precedenti: meno spettacolare ma tremendamente pragmatico e cinico. Parlo del Campionato. Invece, in Champions League non sono mancate le grandi goleade, come il 6-0 al Copenaghen, il 3-0 al Porto, il 3-0 al Monaco e, soprattutto, il meraviglioso 4-0 rifilato al Barcellona dello spocchioso Cruijff. Che tempi! Un gruppo che non si accontentava mai ed era per quello che continuava a raccogliere successi e trofei.

This was the season where Milan no longer had the Dutch trio of Van Basten, Gullit and Rijkarrd. In order to compensate such an attacking core, Capello fell back on the super defence they had at the time. More cautious, more pragmatic.

Both Sacchi and Capello had great defenders, actually they were quite the same guys . Capello' style was more direct instead of short quick simple passes like Sacchi did but great football none of the less .

Yeah van basten was injured gullit went to sampdoria and was awesome for them and rijkaard went the star in that legendary ajax team of the mid 90s who beat milan in the 1995 champions league final
