Thank you, Taylor, and everyone at the Oregon Remembrance Project for their important work. It's so true that we cannot change the whole of something, but we can change a part of it-and how society views that history.

Native American's and other POC endured much pain within this state. Still happens to do this day, it's just more covert than it used to be. Thank you for bringing this issue to the light.

Taylor has given me Hope for the future of the state, maybe even Hope for the country. As an old activist, I have tears in my eyes that there are young people picking up the mantle for doing what is right in the world. Thank you OPB!

The pendleton roundup had ku klux klan members in its parade in 1926 and ceremony burnt crosses on the north and South hills of Pendleton

"Unrelenting Hope" made me cry. I grew up in Alabama, and have lived in Oregon -- and seen the racism and division in both places. This video is a step in the right direction.

I'm so glad that Oregon's racist history is for the most part just that History. I have never been so terrified as the day I was on my way to church and there was a cross burning on someone's front lawn. I knew - even at that young age - what it was and it was horrifying and disgusting.

PS: i'm from Grants Pass. The cross was burned on a lawn on Harbeck Rd. Around the corner from my house. I think it would have been around 1973 or 1972
