I have done this track on my cd70. It really reslly is full of adventure. It really is a dangerous route. I exactly remember that was 1st may 2018 (the day this track was cleared). I was the first one who dared to go on the track. I covered around 10 kms. And then couldn't go beyond as i encountered with a glacier. It wasn't possible to go further. Khair then i started hiking towards the lake. I covered further around 4 or 5 kms. I even crossed the base camp. But couldn't make it to the lake. As the way track was totally closed with steep glaciers. I was running out of time and i was alone. So i had to move back. There were 0% chances to move forward. Even though if i did, tu zinda wapas na ata.

I think regular 125 will perform extremely well on these rough terrain, because of its lite weight & OHV engine. And because of its small frame, handling of regular 125 is also a piece of cake on these extremely rough and rugged terrain

Very adventurous track. I love it. اس ٹریک پر میں اکیلا شام پانچ بجے اکیلا Archi 150 بائیک پر روانہ ہوا ۔ ارادہ صرف تھوڑی دور تک جا کر ٹریک کی کنڈیشن دیکھنے کا تھا لیکن آگے سے آگے چلتا ہی چلا گیا ۔ شام 6 بجے اوپر کی چڑہائیوں پر بارش شروع ہوگئی جس کے بعد سمجھ نہیں آتا تھا کہ اوپر جاؤں یا واپس جاؤں ۔ ہمّت جمع کی اور آگے بڑھ گیا ۔ بہت بار ریسٹ لیتا ہوا مغرب کے بعد مکمّل اندھیرے میں رتّی گلی بیس کیمپ تک پھنچ گیا ۔ اور پتہ نہیں وہاں سے کیسے نکل گیا جہاں ڈیڑھ فٹ کیچڑ میں دو جیپیں پھنسی کھڑی تھیں .

How much distance from dowarian bridge to base camp? And from base camp to lake? And what about the hiking condition? Is that very difficult or average?

From Doarian, it's an 18 Km extreme 4x4 trail which takes upto 2.5 hours till base camp. From basecamp till lake, is a normal level hiking and trekking of 1 hour.

Yes, easily you can visit the lake in a day and no worries. It's not that dangerous. Jeep drivers are expert.

China 70 and honda 125 is best for this kind offroad track. YBR starta missing in high traacks.

Your bikes couldnt reach to the destination unfortunately. What type and model of bike do u guys recommend that would have covered this track? Suzuki GS 150SE? Or any other .kindly mention

Yes unfortunately I couldn't take it to the base camp because of the two reasons; first our bikes were heavily loaded and the second that the track was very slippery (it rained in the night so). I had 4 GS with me as well but couldn't make it as I told the reasons. But GS150 is a very good and recommended bike (not GS SE because it's not for off road purpose, spokes wheels are always good for such trails)

Hmm. Sorry to hear that sir.But i should ask why were u guys carrying luggage and load while u knew.And were u guys planning for stay at base camp or at the lake?i think people go and visit the lake and then climb down

My plan was to spend an adventurous night at lake that's why carrying our luggage, but sometimes nature plays an opposing role. 😀

Ratti gali is a lake in Neelum valley of Kashmir, you can start at night from Lahore and will reach at Dawarian by next day evening. Next morning From Dawarian you will take jeep, will take 2 hours till basecamp then 1.5 hours of hike towards lake

Of course not. Wide tires are not good for off roading.

go for a medium sized tyre, 100/90/17 with a knobby treading for a better grip. Wide tires are not usually that grippy

There is no issue with the grip at all. I have traveled many areas in Pakistan with this stock tire.
