I have a backstory to how I found this game, when we were young me and my brother used to go to Blockbuster every week and rent out a game to play, at one point we rented out something that looked and sounded cool, but when he got home and opened the box we realised it wasn't the right game, instead it was some game called "road trip", instead of going back up and complaining we tried the game out, and it was a blast, we played it for hours, just driving around with advertisements on, because we were young we thought the world was massive beyond anything we'd experienced before, and by the end of the week we got to Cloud Hill, we never actually completed the game, but it was a blast and now it's really nostalgic.

I came across this game in a weird way as well! My cousin's family hosted a summer BBQ and had relatives from all over come by. One of their kids brought a PS2 and games to play alongside ours and other systems. Someone, not sure who, left their disc for Road Trip, and it got shuffled around between my families house and my cousins for many months it seemed. Eventually, i tried it out, and was HOOKED! I played the heck out of it!

@@0326Hambonecool story, I love how I’m not the only one that wasn’t familiar with the game but it ended up being very memorable. Around 2005 my siblings & I asked my parents to get “road kill” again. So you could imagine how disappointed we were the first few minutes of playing this. But it didn’t take long for me to enjoy playing this everyday after school. The background music & ready randomly pop into my head every now & then. Hence why I am here now 😅

When i was 4-6 years old idk exatcly how old i was, i Played a lot of gta san andreas secretly and my big brother knew it one time he was in the City with my mom to buy a new game but instead of buying himself a game he buyed this game for me and told me it is Gta for kids, so i played it a long time. Its one of my Fav games. Nice speedrun btw

I grew up with this game too, i loved gta and Gran turismo. This to me was an open world gran turismo with the story of a GTA which i also was not allowed to play. I wish they made a new version of this but keeping with the cartoonish graphics but better physics

Have you ever thought about doing a speed run for presidency by doing it the normal way i.e completing all the races and the grand prix. I mean, in both your Any% and 100 Stamp runs you use President Skip

So the world is built in a way that loops back on itself. As such you can drive from the first place (Peach Town) to the last place (Papaya Island). It doesn't "Skip" anything per se, but it gives you access to late game items early on like the Turbo and parts from the part shop
