How much time it took? Is it worth going over the regular Bangalore Pune highway?
@OnlyJourneys-ul6mg2 күн бұрын
If you want to go through this highway, then cover most of the distance during the day. Patches in between aren’t good and have diversions as well. Pune-Bangalore highway isn’t great either from Karad towards Bangalore as the main road is under construction and service roads are being used currently. However, if you are unsure and want to keep things safe, then go via Bangalore highway as in case of any breakdown etc, you have options to stay or systems to help you around. Same is not the case with Mumbai-Goa highway as the infrastructure around the highway is still a Work In Progress.. We took around 12:30 hrs to reach Bandra, Mumbai from Ponda, Goa..

Are you Goan? Because some one is speaking konkani
@OnlyJourneys-ul6mg2 күн бұрын
Hey Hi!! You can say that I am a Goan. My mother is speaking in Konkani in the video. She is from a village named Kakoda in Sanvordem, South Goa. My surname is derived from a village named Keri which is the northernmost (bordering) village of Goa. Kerkar is my surname. However, my ancestral home is in Aronda which lies in Maharashtra. This is the last village of Maharashtra. Keri and Aronda are the bordering villages of the respective states. Maybe, my ancestors just moved from one village to another and later found themselves in a separate state altogether.. 😅

@@OnlyJourneys-ul6mg that is a great story 😁😁 Because in start of video you mentioned ponda.. as I am from ponda
@OnlyJourneys-ul6mg2 күн бұрын
@@weekend_wanderers_vlogs Yes.. Had started from Dhavali that lies in the outskirts of Ponda city. You must be aware of this place. I have a home there.. Whenever I am in Goa, I stay there at Dhavali or at Mangeshi where my cousins live in Goa.

@@weekend_wanderers_vlogsNice to know that you are from Ponda as this place is close to my heart. I remember, since my childhood, my every visit to Goa was incomplete without Ponda as Ponda market is the only place for shopping for all the nearby villages like Mangeshi and Mardol.

Lanja to Sanghmeshwar roads are pathetic.
@OnlyJourneys-ul6mg14 сағат бұрын
Yes Shahid.. Very bad roads. That patch is under construction for so long now. Situation was dangerous when I had passed through Sangameshwar during Ganpati in September.
