I've been watching your videos for several months now. Luckily I still have some earning power in me and I may just be able to purchase one of these beautiful machines one day. While there are so many really nice machines to choose from I have come to the conclusion that the Prevost conversions and the Newells are the way to go. They cost a mint but the engineering and craftsmanship that go into these motor coaches are next level compared to the less expensive RVs.

The Def sensor in my 21 Dutch Star failed a few weeks ago between North Platte Nebraska and Cheyenne Wyoming. Drove around 100 miles didn't hit limp mode. Called Spartan, they shipped the part to campground. Called Coachnet, they sent a mobile mechanic the next morning, 30 minutes I was back in business. Like you said, it's not if it's when a Def issue will pop up!

Do you have a CDL. If you don't and you're driving for the Motorcoach Store for hire than I'd consider it. No one will stop you and you may drive right by Weigh stations without a problem but if you get into an accedent you may have an issue. Sometimes you never have a problem until you have a problem. As soon as you drive it for pay it becomes a commercial vehicle. Had a friend who was driving a coach for delivery and just got rear ended by someone. @curttundra
@curttundra Ай бұрын
Doesn't do a darn thing to the ozone layer. The particulate filter is there to reduce unburned carbon from going out the tail pipes, which is the black smoke seen on pre DPF engines. If you truly want cleaner air start talking about China and India. They contribute about 80% of the world's air pollution.
@7476318
@7476318 Ай бұрын
@@curttundra You just proved that you don’t know anything about it, at all. It’s not about the ozone layer. Diesel engines produce nitrogen oxides and it’s the DEF system that reduces these oxides. These oxides are converted to ozone through UV light. Ozone is not good for you or me to breath. Just do some reading.
@nomadbiker4040
@nomadbiker4040 Ай бұрын
DPF systems are for large particulates. They are still released into the environment when the filters are cleaned out, all at once rather than a little at a time. And they don't tell you how much more fuel is burned transporting DEF around the country, not to mention vehicles and parts for DPF repairs like in this video. To top it off, DEF containers that are sold in bottles at stores are disposed when empty, creating more paper and plastic waste in the environment. When government tries to solve a "problem", it usually makes it worse by creating tenfold new problems

I think it's embarrassing to pay $2M and develop mechanical problems. Any thoughts on Tiffen build quality?

Andrew you’re correct but if you stay uninformed and think things will be what they are … your industry runs off a great economy and the economy is doing poorly and continues that way people will not be buying these 1-2 million coaches so electing the best people to run our government is very important..

ANdrew, you're slipping into sales guy sleezo. First, no Newell or Prevost to FeatherLight is 'priced to sell'. C'mon bro. Know what I do for my clients? Train them on the science of selling their buyers luxury. I will heave this with you. "don't treat a princess like your backyard pig."

Go back beyond DEF no def for me my coach doesn’t have that problem. But it’s a 2006 Prevost. They all have issues but this is one I don’t have.

It's not def that's the issue, it's which def that's the issue. I think your issue came after you filled up at love's. Never put that stuff in the rig. Not even in a pinch I've seen cheap def take out jeeps range rovers etc etc.
