Your pull over stop w/ bear spray incident was really beautiful. The road after as well (Hat Creek overlook = amazing). One of the things I like to do when I go EV road tripping is I purposefully build in extra time on the road so when I find places like that which are calling to me to explore, I can go roam a bit. Bummer bout bear spray. Thx for the vid. I really enjoyed watching.

Something that might be useful for you is a "mesh bug sponge" - I have two in my trunk with glass cleaner to wash my windshield when I charge. Very easy and works great. Hope you are having safe and fun travels!

Yeah and now due to so many people buying Tesla's through my referral link I haven't paid for filling up since June and likely will never have to again as long as they keep the referral program around 😀 Imagine if Nissan said they'd just pay for all your gas? So thankful! As for the bear spray... what I didn't explain well in the video was it actually flipped upside down and even though it had the safety tab on it, had enough pressure to let out a quick spray (directly into my mouth:) I'm glad it was into my mouth as I was able to just spit out the Butterfinger. haha. Better that than my eye.

Thanks for sharing this trip. Sorry about the Bear Spray incident in the future you should try breath mints instead 😃. On the Tlyard fridge, since it occupies the rear 12V outlet how do you bring power to the back if needed for other electronics. I assume a solar generator? I ask because similar to you, I use the rear power outlet to top-off my solar generator between campground stops and the fridge would result in only using the front 12V outlet. Not a deal breaker but I was wondering how you MacGyver'd the workaround. Great content!

which of the coolers fits in the subtrunk? Are you advising the Iceco or Bodega?

Bodega doesn't fit in the sub-trunk. The ICECO does: ICECO Fridge/Freezer: geni.us/jZCIH I do have another company that is sending me a fridge that's made specifically for the Model Y sub-trunk, but won't get that for another week or two. A couple reasons I do like the ICECO is it's super light so easy enough to bring into a hotel room or put in another spot inside the car if I need the sub-trunk for something else.

Does the trunk fridge have a bypass so that I can still plug into the 12V with something else if I need that port?

Good question. This one doesn't, but I simply bought a splitter on Amazon which has worked well.
