its pretty crazy that this was one of the impact craters from the all out global nuclear war equivalent of a mass extinction event which occurred 13000 years ago, we nearly died out from it but fortunately we didnt

Just a small thing, but... Its NOT Saguenay DU Lac St-Jean. They are actually TWO regions. Saguenay, which goes up to the ALMA dam and then the Lac-St-Jean Region. The Saguenay region goes along the Saguenay river... And the Lac St-Jean region is around and North of the LAKE with that name... When I was a kid, I lived in both. And the people there DO make a distinction. Saguenay has the bigger towns, Chicoutimi/Jonquiere, now called Saguenay and amalgamated, which is a BIT of overuse of the name.. River, Region, AND City??? But then again, I had FIVE people named Jean Tremblay'in my math class at the Chicoutimi CEGEP. So they LIKE re-using names. People in Sagenay used to look a bit down on the Lac St-Jean farmers and mill workers and the Lac St-Jean people used to think the Saguenay people were lazy city people. Just another little regional rivalry. To anyone else, we are all the same... And YES we BOTH have the same accent (I don't, don't know why I was raised there until grade 6 and went back for college,...) ... It's just put together in ONE administrative region. With both names used to name it. It's ALSO Region 02, if you are looking for maps and government stuff. The Quebec City (Capitale Nationale) region is Region 01, and so on until Region 17 (Centre du Quebec, with Plessivile as its largest city)
