Road Trips, Classics, and Barn Finds | Mountain Meet 2023

Follow along on this episode as I take the yearly trek to the NC mountains and Turbobricks Mountain Meet. We're road tripping the bagged and swapped Volvo Amazon 5 hours one way, in a trip that sees us hanging with friends, eating good food, and exploring barns looking for rare old junk.

Rainx works wonders! I drive truck and an older trucker that put me on it. Been a fan/user over 20yrs. Never worry about wipers again lol.

I wear ear plugs for longer trips in the PV. It only has a token glasspack/cherry bomb muffler, but I doubt a real muffler would help much.

Tough to silence a tin can honestly

I went from a 122 sport exhaust to double mufflers just like you did with very little change in dampening the noise, however when i put sound deafening under the headliner, floor, doors and firewall the noise got a bit better. what actually did the most difference was changing out all the old seals. doors, windows, windshield. gave the car a whole different feeling. I also put a slightly thicker seal in the guide for the window (i don't know if it makes any difference but it sure made the window mechanism harder to wind up and down, it might be letting in less air and noise?)

I do need to put new window channel in, the window rattling is annoying. I'm actually filming the next episode now, and the car is getting another muffler.
