@VideoCesar074 жыл бұрын
This was one of the best and funniest interviews I have seen so far. I like how they were usually getting one over the Road Warriors by outsmarting them. I can't blame Keirn for whacking them with the chair as quickly as he could or he would've taken a serious beating. It's amazing the huge difference in mindset that they had vs the Road Warriors. The Fabulous Ones understood that this was entertainment and that they all had to work together. The Road Warriors unfortunately were just all ego and did not want to put anyone over. Glad to know the rest of the wrestlers had their backs after that match.

Love the fact that The Fabs don't even pretend to be badasses at all. They are like we were there for business. And to have Larry Hennig take care of you in Minnesota means a lot, shows the Road Warriors were in the wrong.

The Road Warriors should have come in with the World Super Heavyweight Championship! It would have been separate from the AWA Tag Team Camps. The AWA should have used them as attractions, and brought in teams just to face them. The AWA tag titles would have been for the regular guys who planed on staying. They could have tried to get Brody, and Hanson to do some matches at major PPV shows, and built up both teams.

I'd heard the Road Warriors side of the story before, but this is the first interview I've seen from the Fabulous Ones side. Granted I never exactly looked too much into it, but thank you because this makes things a lot clearer. Though I love the RWs, the FOs version of the story makes more sense to me. It also shows how green even the most revered wrestlers once were. The thing I've pieced together from that time era is it was very hard to find a good PRO wrestling instructor. By that I mean, there are plenty of people to show you how to do the moves properly, but there are far fewer that can properly teach the basics of how ring psychology works. As a result, the RWs weren't as clued in as they could have been and they learned lessons along the way like most seemed to, the hard way. That's my very general view of the era anyway.

@PontFlair10 ай бұрын
In 84 and early 85, no, they couldn't. They were damn-near still new. But if you watch through their time in AWA, they improved VASTLY. By 85-86, they were the top of the AWA and building toward being the GOAT Tag-Team that they're known as today. Goes to show 2 things, being in there w/ people better than you who can teach and hard work together paid off. Most people don't remember the Fabs, they were a regional Team. And Keirn basically disappeared until Skinner, and most people didn't know he was Skinner nor Doink until later. Lane became half of the better version of The Midnight, that said, still joined an established Team. And neither had solo runs worth a damn and didn't really have a good Tag-Team run as The Fabs.
