Incredible video series, thanks so much for sharing! Something I noticed after watching your trick with the saddle soap pre-soak, it really helps my tools slide effortlessly across the leather especially while using my bevelers. Thx again RAL!

Excellent video. Replacement cutting heads for the stitch groove are very cheap, like $2. So don't hesitate to replace it. Looks like you are pushing way harder then you should have to

Weaver Leather is the store with these Will Gromly holsters patterns if anyone else was looking at Tandy Leather and not finding them there like suggested early in this video at 1:08.

I recently had some interaction through email with Will Ghormley, getting the Hand Of God Crosses. I'd really like to have had him make me a 3:10 rig but can't spend the money on it. He'd been in an accident and had some broken bones and such. Hope he's doing ok now.

Have you considered using tracing film rather than cut up those pricey patterns? It's way more accurate and makes the tooling pattern line up perfectly.

Hey brother, Getting into leatherwork myself. Specifically holster/western work. One that I wanted to make myself as my first project is the partner of Russell Crows rig. The dual cross draws that were canted inward? About to get started and think I have an idea as to what I will do, but any advice? Or even a video? Thanks for the time, great work! Ray skinner

Excellent series of videos on making this holster. Thanks for sharing. Simple question- what are you using to spray your water? Sounds almost like compressed air.
@shartmcfart4 жыл бұрын
It's the "Fine Mist Pump Sprayer" sold by Tandy Leather.

Yep. That's how the holster appears in the movie. It's a 'wrap-around tooling' look I've carried over to my own designs.
