My 2008 Sequoia Limited 4WD has 239,000 miles and runs as good as the day I took delivery. Drove Pittsburgh to Dallas in 1 day with wife + 2 kids + 1 cat in the vehicle. great long distance SUV.☺

This 10 years old Sequoia makes me hate my 2013 Sorento LX AWD with only 84,000 miles. Goddamn I need to get a Toyota when I trade this in LOL

Same here its mind blowing. I'm basically restoring an 04 Sequoia right now and it is in better shape with better road manners than my 2010 Prius. Golden era Toyota quality in the big body Toyotas.

I drive a 10 year old Sequoia Limited. We take multiweek road trips pulling a camper (family of 7). We love this suv. It is very manuverable, comfortable, excellent handling - it navigates sheer ice, deep snow (in canada), gravel, uneven surfaces, and higherspeed interstates with ease. I am comparing it to the Suberban we used to drive - the Suberban had more interior space but in most every other way the Sequoia is a better fit for our family's travel needs.

recalling....doesnt mean 2.3 million cars are affected....you still see more high mileage toyotas on the road than any other vehicle....a simple pedal issue (which they dont make)..is better than the tons of problems with other car companies

Land Cruiser is actually a luxury SUV, with excellent build quality and the best off-road capability on any SUV. It is obviously more expensive than a Sequoia, since it is better in almost every aspect.

@64bitgfx its a design layout in which the body of the suv and the frame are seperate.Pros are better towing and off road ablity,cons are more worse handling ablities and more weigth

Oh, BTW, only drawback of the LC to a Sequoia is that the Sequoia is gigantic in terms of sheer size.

The only things that Sequoia shares with Tundra's the face, the dashboard & the driveline. The Sequoia has fully boxed frame with thick box crossmembers while the Tundra has a cheap C frame with paper thin crossmembers. Also, the Sequoia has a beefy fully independent rear suspension, while the Tundra has the weakest leaf springs of any fullsize pickup.

In the US (where most of the terrain is stable), it's ok to use a Sequoia. But here in the Middle East, you will need a sturdier SUV: The LC, Nissan Patrol, Mitsubishi Pajero, Land Rover Range Rover, or even a Suzuki Jimny lol

An SUV for the insecure soccer mom. I remember at the Detroit Auto Show (2008), and I sat down in the Sequoia, it was so big. Realistically, I can't use anything that big. Not only that, I saw a lot of kids walk away from that SUV like the plague, but of course I saw all the moms looking at the Sequoia like Oprah told them to lol. If I was a kid and I saw this SUV, I would be scared as hell for real. And one thing is for sure, when your children isn't comfortable, you better think about it.

Well, the Tundra was stupidly designed with TripleTech frame. To be honest, Japanese 4x4 vehicles Nissan Patrol, Toyota Land Cruiser, & Mitsubishi Pajero; & British Land Rovers have been using fully boxed frames long before Ford. In fact, Nissan Titan started the fully boxed frame of all fullsize pickups, & Ford was only inspired. Why did the Patrol, Land Cruiser, Pajero, & Land Rovers become legends? Fully boxed offroad frame, proper transfer case rations, diff. locks, etc.

rangerover06sc it does have a center diff. It has a gear driven transfer case not a chain driven. It's made so you can be in 4wd and still make a full lock turn without the drive train binding lile on a traditional chain driven part time system. It just like the 4wd system in a Land Cruiser or Land Rover except you can put it in 2wd. It has a center diff so you can drive with 4wd engaged and still be able to turn and drive on pavement without damaging anything.

Yes, the Land Cruiser is for those, umm, shall we say upper class citizens. I've test-driven both the Sequoia and LC, and I have to say LC feels more luxurious and has a more comfortable drive. It's astonishing that despite it's smaller frame than Sequoia, it can tow just as much weight as a Sequoia/Tundra, approx. 10,000 tons.
