I just ordered an Elite band, and can’t wait to get it. I just wish you guys had more badges to choose from for medical conditions, OR, to alert first responders to an online RoadID profile. That, would be phenomenal for individuals like me with a lot of health challenges that won’t fit on the band.

Thank you - this video is super helpful! I'm excited - just ordered my first Elite band. Didn't think about ordering a Road iD until I fell on one of my runs and my friend suggested it. Can't wait to get it!

I just ordered the silicone 13mm band and the sidekick version for my Garmin. Because of work, its dark when I run whether its morning or night so this is good security.

Just got my new silicone band today. Previous one lasted nearly 6 years! I honestly feel so much safer wearing this and I never take it off. A little bit of insurance which goes a long, long way.
@hummerlady5419 күн бұрын
I do wish the thinner clasp was easier to slide into the clasp. I don’t plan on taking it off very often. I bought this on Amazon which had few choices for the bands. I’ll purchase some other colors. I hope it doesn’t come unclasped while I’m wearing it. I’ll give this a chance. As a woman, I thought the thinner band was better but the plate is so small and I needed a kit of vital information on it.

I purchased new silicone bands to replace my kid's first band because she is growing. And they came in 3 sizes. Ok, can you explain the process, how to put the metal plate from the old bracelet on the new band? Can I just cut it and put old clasps on a new band? Or what should I do?
@AstridBidanecSlimDownCoach Жыл бұрын
Did you ever manage to put it onto the silicone band? I have been wresting with it for hours and can't figure it out. 😥
@NatUSLife Жыл бұрын
@@AstridBidanecSlimDownCoach i did. I bent it along the band and pulled the silicone out of the metal, than i inserted one side of the new silicone band in, bent and inserted another side. I did not cut the band, it is still intact.

Yes. Don't stuff your face with Big Macs and cut the band the appropriate size. It's not rocket-science. Your species has been to the moon, you know. I think you are capable of cutting a band the proper length.

I’ve had one for me and one for my husband for probably 2 years. Have never been able to put the band together because the guy on the video talks so fast and the camera is too far from the band so I can’t follow what he’s doing. Total waste of money for elderly people to deal with.

I found that the video instructions for fitting the bracelet I received were delivered far too fast and made it difficult to follow what to do. I think the instructions should be delivered at a slower pace and the camera should zoom in much closer when showing how to fit the strap into the clasp. Also , I dont see why loud irritating music has to be played in the background. It's just a distraction while trying to follow the instructions.

@elizabethcameron35094 жыл бұрын
Same thing happened to me. Drove me crazy and then, lo and behold, I find out there's a video. I think they should do more of a close-up on the inner part of the clasp. Also, I got the silicone and it is very hard to jam it in where you're supposed to. I had to use needlenose pliers. Either the band should be the tiniest bit more narrow or the clasp a tiny bit wider. Other than that, it's a great and essential product.

That's the good and bad thing about the age we live in. More companies aren't including instructions with their product but instead posting them in videos available online. If you are having trouble with a product their is a good chance someone else has as well and has posted a video on KZbin with a solution.
@nissavanriper61174 жыл бұрын
They sent me an email right away with the link. My band hadn't even arrived yet. Maybe because you used Amazon they weren't able to email you?

I cannot get the free end into clasp for my 90-year-old client even after watching this video three times.
@nissavanriper61174 жыл бұрын
I don't know if you'll see this, or if you've figured it out by now, but here goes: I agree, it flies by quickly in the video and it's not up close enough to really see it. Try to freeze frame at 1:44. But basically you do this: 1. Follow his instructions to lay the band face-down and pry up the small flap at the far end. You will see that the flap has teeth on the lower edge and kind of a scroll design on the other. 2. While that flap is pointing straight up into the air you will be able to slide the free end of the band in the gap under the flap. 3. Slide the band under the flap until it hits the end. (It's only a few millimeters of "runway." The end is the enclosure of the release mechanism. You'll see it.) 4. Then you fold the flap back down. Because the teeth will immediately encounter the band, it'll feel tight as you push it down, but keep going. The teeth will sink into the silicone. If it seems too tight to fold down by hand, then you can do what he says in the video and lift the flap, wiggle the band back just a hair, and then try again to close the flap down. I was able to close the flap most of the way by hand but had a hunch it wasn't fully down, so I used something solid to press it the last of the way into place.

Why in the world would you not recommend a product because YOU cut your band too short and because YOU did not realize there was a different size? Those sound like YOU problems, not RoadID problems.

I think the solid bands are more difficult to remove. Also, on my toddler I'd put it on her ankle and she wouldn't remember it was there. (Admittedly this only works when the ankle would be visible by others ie, shorts weather.) Maybe a shoe ID? Do you think the patient would pay any attention to it if it was there?
@hilaryl62792 жыл бұрын
@@nissavanriper6117 what do you mean by “solid band”? The stretch type?
@VanRiperFam2 жыл бұрын
@@hilaryl6279 yes. Sorry, I didn't know exactly what they were called. But the original RoadID silicone band. Some of the free or novelty bands you see around are a big one-size-fits-all and thin and therefore easily stretched. But RoadIDs are (or at least they were 8 years ago) of substantial thickness to the point that if the size is right, it won't rub the wrist but will be tricky to get over the wide part of the hand. It was a bit of a struggle, actually, as my daughter grew and her wrist got bigger. And ankle? Even trickier yet. Good luck. I hope you find a good solution.
