I agree with you on rewards as a f2p player. That ceiling is getting higher and the ladder is the same is just on point. Then my concern is requisition rewards should depend on your lvl or rank something like that, its a total waste to wait for weeks or months for 10 pull just to get 5-10 shards of useless characters uncommon orbs. Requisition pulls should be the most rewarding mechanic in this game yet it is one of the worst and disappointing things you can get. I know rng plays all the role but damn its literally useless uncommon and 5 shards really, atleast make it more.

I think TA matchmaking is a bad metric for game health. Especially since there's no rating barriers on it. You can* play the rank 1 player even as a player at the bottom of the rankings.

Good video! I agree with you about comunity focusing on one major problem - rewards specially rewards for legendary guild raids. They are by far the worst! There is no pressure for guilds to decelop characters for raiding when the legendary rewards are worse than epic level rewards.

The character availability for new players is the saddest thing imo if I was new and say my favorite thing about warhammer was space wolves I might as well quit because I'll never get the characters in a reasonable amount of time to enjoy them

I love the game, but SP needs someone to keep them in check. Thank you for doing that. For some of your points: - I love playing the LREs, but I do not love paying for them. - GR is the second dumbest thing in the game, designed lazily. Gh-ass and Farty are the worst. These should be massive battles where the guild should go through armies of soldiers before facing the boss. - Guild Wars will probably be the team mode of toilet arena, which is the single worst thing in the game. - Unobtanium characters are a terrible idea. - 1.5k shards (that I have) for two of the orks is the inverse problem and an equally terrible idea. - Guild shop is useful - Abbadon and Ra shards experience books are the things I buy from there. - Re'vas and the living ho are overpowered and need to be nerfed.

Honestly, this games biggest flaws is that it is so painfully obvious that this was supposed to be a money printer first, game second. I understand that games need to make money, but a lot of developers has gone a lot farther with a lot less and it completely sours the experience.

Raid bosses don't even have to give currency, they can just very easily drop shards for the given character in their chests when defeated. Also getting rid of at least some random rewards and giving us more choice rewards would go a long way in making the game more enjoyable.

So excited to see my Templar bois getting a rework. They're my favourite faction in all of 40k. Fingers cross they do them justice. Personally I don't feel like you're "bitching" i see it as constructive criticism, least you offer the ideas on ways to improve things, and I agree with pretty much everything you've mentioned. It's good to see Snowprint taking things on board with its community. They could of just turn around and say fuck you to everyone bit they didnt, and atleast now we have a roadmap which is nice. This game needs a serious rework in some factions and the way of getting money(fair prices for fair rewards) Apart of that it needs more lategame modes, and ofc more pvp, guild pvp and a real personal ladder system. All of this would do this game a top game.

My criticisms still hold weight and I double down on the ones I want. I regret aspects of my last video because I believe they were hasty and I should have had certain conversations before I made it. My criticisms of the community are twofold. 1. Because I hope it helps prevent everyone from attacking whenever reasonable delays happen 2. Because I saw how misguided we can all get when rallying for game change. I'm not praising the devs to Infinity, I'm simply giving them rope, and it's up to them if they will use it to pull the game up or hang themselves with it. We have taken steps in the right direction, and I will praise what I think is good, and I will criticize what I think is bad. Always. If the new boss comes out and it's shit like Screamer killer. I'll be back to say exactly that. If guild wars fails I'll be back to give my thoughts on that.

Which I feel is discouraging considering other games in this genre and how they historically improve over time. Albeit aggressively in some regards. I'm not naive and ignoring the games nature as a gacha mobile.

Nice se them go back and do rework on older factions regardles how big or smal it is. For black templars a se Godswyl and Thoread get big rework for they dont do alot. Burtchard is okay. Emperor champion to. high marshal helbrecht a dont now but sen he is a lite beter version of roswitha in dmg apartment ws tyranids. Orks ned rework ned to fix there dmg and warboos defens stats. For Deaths guard corodius pasive ned rework and Pestilian.... ned Big rework. Wold be even hapy replaced with a Foul blightspawn character for more ranged option for them. but thats not gona hapen.

I'm going to have to jump in and say when I said optimizing the fun out of the game, i wasn't trying to say that the end game shouldn't be fun or doesn't need some tweaking. It should be fun and does need some tweaking. There is a difference between having a blue star bellator, rushing onslaughts to get there because of that little extra damage, and rushing to get it because you are a Bellator stan. Having one is end game. Rushing it for fun of it is fun. Doing it for that 1k damage is silly because of the opportunity cost(imo). You made good points, and I'm not trying to be a contrarian, so I'm just going to repeat this. If the new boss specific reward is given every time you defeat the boss instead of just the first time you do a season, that would make me want to quit. Because it is increasing the gap between the top rated guilds and everybody else. And I don't think that needs to happen any more than it already is. Side issue with doing it like that is it would only hasten the time where top rated guilds be be sick of the rewards and want something new(like they are with snappa shards and orbs)

I think there absolutely needs to be a diminishing value on rewards after the first legendary cycle. Or perhaps a increasing difficulty ramp (% increases to boss damage or HP that at one point make it impossible)

The fix for the Calandis AI and the guild bomb availability tab are things I could personally code in a day. I suspect that Tacticus haven't really had a delopment team for a while, just a person or two to create more characters. Snowprint's delopers are propably hard at work to create another mobile game to add to their portfolio. Covering another market and putting another line in the water is propably perceived to be more lucratice by the company, than putting development time on one of their already existing products. It's about what makes more money per development hour for the company, that's why Tacticus has been treading water for a year now. The reason new content is hopefully coming next year, is that the developers are working on some other game game right now, and are swinging to developing Tacticus maybe later this year, or early next year.

As a player 2 weeks-ish in. I want to love this game. I do. I love Warhammer. But this game is quite literally awful at even giving you value for money on paid packs. I need orbs. A 9.99 orb pack with 5 legendary orbs, 10 rare orbs & 15 uncommon? Nope. I want skill ups. A pack for that? Nope. I want to equip legendary items on common/rare characters. I mean who’s it hurting? The whales compete with the whales anyway. Everything about this game discourages you playing it. All those £30 triple character packs. The very least they could have done is given you a bunch of skill ups, a dozen or so orbs and like 50 Maugan Ra, 100 Abbadon shards kind of thing. Instead I get 3 characters, 2 of which are stuck in common/uncommon with no extra stuff to get them higher. Oh you do?! That’s great! Yeah that’s an extra £8 per character. What the actual fuck.

I've preached this before, but I feel its essential now more than ever. We need a rotating, permanent character shard award event. This could be a minimum of 1 day where you can challenge an event and gain additional character shards, but preferably an event that allows players of all levels to obtain enough shards to unlock at least common/uncommon characters through farming. The character quest events are nice. But have been nerfed so much that they really are just minor material rewards. They aren't character reward quests and give the pitiful amounts of shards. When I unlocked Calandis, it was through the OG character quest. Now your lucky to get a quarter of the shards needed for a common character. These events have definitely shown their age. Characters cost more to unlock, but the amount of shards awarded has only gone down (also, why did they remove shards from the chests? That's greedy, IMO). I would love to see character quests be FOR characters, not just materials. But preferably, a weekly game mode (versus the monthly character quest) would be much more appreciated.

@DZGJayce About darkstrider, he's ok/decent now but not good enought to be better than Eldryon, we liked a lot the rework of his passive, making him able to marklight bosses, but to be honest, he still need that passive change from adjacent to 2 hexes arround him. Thats all he needs

@@LayronPK am a proud owner of a 2k ork army on tabletop, also a conolete roster of orks all at 2 epic and 3 legendary g3... boss is absolute crap: "warboss in mega armor" more like warboss in wet tissue paper (top 10 worse armor innda game ) , he tickles enemies with both his melee and passive ( wich is legendary level too, injust lovr orks) , in perspective: every sniper ha better armor than boss (and damage). Tansksmasha is a joke , thin defenses , mediocre damage (and hits) and 2 sh1t skills, active is a gimnick and passive is the worse of all reactive skills (calandis is straight op preempitve piercing with over 60% crit , and jaeger is also preemtive but has no tartget limit). Gibba May be decent at D2 cuz his damage scaling and overal armor buff and tank , snotflogga is CAn get the same damage IF you are wiling to expend to level 50 his passive .. grots sre nice ill give him that. Snappa. Jesús what a Messi, super frágile YET he cant be in melee WHILE both his skills are ment to be upfront (same as boss dilema) .. poor damsge and penetration, your only hope is to use range 2 always (dakka) + buffers to get 5 buffed hits .. thsts it. Orks are beyond trash , if they werent Free, only ork lovers as myself would buy em .. period.

Definitely like the idea of shops for more game modes with ways to buy more units in there. Gotta keep access to gaining the initial campaign characters somewhere for new people, but could definitely just put them all into those shops along with the rest of the non campaign characters. Give me ALL the shops haha. You can even keep the rate where it’s only a few shards worth for each game mode per day, but give me the freedom to use those shards with some variety as I chose.

Mad respect for you Jayce and to SP. A lot of the frustrations come from passion and I believe SP see that. I strongly agree with your points and working as a community and being better - it'll benefit both parties. The game is fantastic and has incredible potential. As a new player, I don't really feel like I'm lost in the race towards the end game. I just have to level my gear, get to experience new modes and fun characters. Don't make mistakes in investment. It's honestly fun. I do think the game is bad at pointing out where to get badges or what's important to do every day but it's not so bad. I hope the next faction is Grey Nights or World Eaters
