About a year ago, me and my hubby were arguing about something, out of nowhere we hear the sound of a piano/keyboard playing on the radio in the background. The fight stops dead in its tracks. We hear one of the most beautiful voices I've ever heard, we just stopped and listened. When the song is almost over me and hubby look at eachother lovingly, embrace eachother, and apologize for the rotten things we said. I use my phone to find out what were listening to, and that's how I became a TON fan and listening to this right now :) Also I found out about a month after finding this song that it's a good one to play during makeup sex (thinking about it now I should have known that already lol)

I'm so proud of Type O Negative and Peter to composed this masterpiece, since writing a love song in the metal genre is so difficult. It always turns to cheesy, but this track is an exception. Thank You for this song Guys, especially Peter. :)

lyrics: In her place one hundred candles burning As salty sweat drips from her breast Her hips move and I can feel what they're saying, swaying They say the beast inside of me's gonna get ya, get ya, get... Black lipstick stains her glass of red wine I am your servant, may I light your cigarette? Those lips smooth, yeah I can feel what you're saying, praying They say the beast inside of me's gonna get ya, get ya, get... I beg to serve, your wish is my law Now close those eyes and let me love you to death Shall I prove I mean what I'm saying, begging I say the beast inside me's gonna get ya, get ya, get... Let me love you too Let me love you to death Hey am I good enough for you? Hey am I good enough for you? Am I? Am I? Am I good enough for you?

Peter Steele, the iconic frontman of Type O Negative, was nothing short of mesmerizing. His deep, resonant voice had this haunting power that could move you from chills to awe in a single verse, embodying a darkness that was profound yet strangely comforting. Steele wasn’t just a singer; he was a force-looming at 6’8” with his jet-black hair and intense gaze, his presence was as commanding as his voice. He brought an element of poetry to metal, blending gothic themes with gritty realism, and his raw honesty about love, loss, and mortality set him apart from anyone else in the genre. Beyond the music, Peter was genuine, funny, and self-deprecating in a way that only made him more endearing. His lyrics were like windows into his soul-conflicted yet vulnerable, exploring everything from heartbreak to social issues with humor and irony. With songs like “Black No. 1” and “Christian Woman,” he created not just music but an atmosphere, transporting listeners into a world that was darkly romantic and undeniably captivating. Peter Steele’s voice, his charisma, his fearless openness, and his sheer presence are missed profoundly in the music world. He wasn’t just a performer; he was a true artist who left an indelible mark, reminding fans everywhere that there’s beauty in the dark and a strange comfort in the melancholy. His legacy lives on in every note, a testament to a man who was as unforgettable as the music he created.
