We travel/camp about 25-30% of the year. We use miacademy and love it! I'd love to travel full time, but my husband's job won't allow it. Our son loves doing his assignemts kicked back in a hammock tho!

I wish we would’ve considered something like this when our kids were smaller. We’re weekend warriors and our kids attend a Christian school. We have a senior, sophomore and 4th grader now. We love to rv, but it looks like it’ll be weekends and vacations for us until retirement. Great video. Safe travels. God bless

Hi, im thinking about trying it out. Just one question. We 're transitioning from public school to homeschool with only 1 month of school left. How long does it take to complete a grade level? And when we go back to public school will they be automatically passed?

Do you supplement outside of Miacademy? Do you find that it's enough? How about in the writing, spelling and math departments?

Would love to know this as well! We just started yesterday! My kids loved it! But they were done very quickly. I had them read and write after completing the school work, but I'm also wondering if the math is enough or if I should find an additional math curriculum to supplement. Would love to know your thoughts!

Hi!!! Okay so we used Miacademy for about 6 months now and I've found that we are supplementing with other things like writing, flash cards, and my 2 older girls prefer Teach Textbooks math. As you know, Homeschool is a challenge as kids keep finding things they like and things they don't haha! Trying to keep up!! :-)

We have added in some things and adjusted to their learning needs. They still like it, but its not been the only thing lately. I feel like im forever learning what is working and what isn't as a homeschool mom :-)

How will you educate your children in upper level math or science classes?

MiaPrep homeschool is available for 9-12. They also have MiaPrep Online highschool (Diploma granting status expected Feb 2023). They offer discounts for multiple children. The online highschool option provides a full highschool curriculum, but they are only taking 9th and 10th right now. I think they are taking 11th and 12th starting later this year but I'm not positive. I know I read the first diplomas are expected to be granted by May 2025

Do students need to get tested by a teacher at the end of the year or is everything just online?

Nope everything is online. There are tests each week to make sure the kiddos understand what they’re learning!

I heard it’s a big game portal and I did not hear about any education or things they learned.

They get to play games once they are done with lessons for the day which motivates them to finish their lessons. Also, you can disable the games if you only want the educational aspect. It's a very flexible platform. You can customise almost everything to suit your needs.

Well, someone lied to you then. My son definitely has video lessons, pdf's/worksheets, practices and quizzes/assessments to do each week.

Yes it has several language options for the electives
