Your saying how this movie has heart reminds me of how Howard the Duck was actually a labor of love judging by the amount of effort everyone put into it despite how horribly made it was. Leah Thompson even went through vocal coaching so she could sing her character's songs herself, at least in the audio recording booth. In fact, the interviews in the behind-the-scenes featurette on the DVD confirms that pretty much everyone involved really enjoyed making this film.

Long-hair Laila is the most uncomfortably sexy dog I have ever seen in a film - and I really, REALLY DON'T LIKE THAT. Is it the scarf? Is it the long hair? Is it both?! I don't know - but I don't like it.

I feel like this movie has love and card put into it. It could of been better in execution but there were parts that where good and you could tell they enjoy making this movie. This feels like a passion project if anything else. I will say I do like the desgins of some of the dogs they look pretty cool. ^^ Also the music is catchy as heck!

Something I didn’t hear get brought up much was character design. I personally liked that a lot. In Sheep and Wolves, characters looked way too humanesque and less animal, but here, you can tell they’re more animal like. Romeo looked really good. I liked his character model. I like the texturing of the fur too. It wasn’t bad honestly.
