Hey guys! We're back at it again with another Japanese import review to put to the test whatever you thought was "fast" before. This might just be the highest HP per cylinder of any vehicle we've filmed here at Roads Untraveled... Putting down 200whp per 500cc cylinder is truly something marvelous that we believe shouldn't go unnoticed, regardless of the vehicles make. Today we'll go for a quick drive in Jackson's 800whp (950+HP at the crank) Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution 8 and find out what makes this monster do what it does with such ease. Under the hood is a 2.0L 4G63 turbocharged engine running on E85. Enjoy!

The footage is just unreal haha. I am glad Marcus was enjoying it! I am the owner of this EVO. Ok, I know the body kit is ugly. The front bumper is a Voltex replica. Rear bumper and side skirt are from previous owner. Wheels are from FD RX7. Those wheels are lightweight and tires are cheap. Many drag racers use them. New parts are in my friends house in Seattle. But due to the Covid I could not pick them up.

Down to earth dude, I bought 2003 Evo when they came out in the states, in NOV 2003! it was a great! I wish I kept that car forever, since it was brand new, move forward- in 2005 I bought brand new Evo 8 RS! white. few months later build, Gt35R 86- turbo , cage, WISH I kept that car forever. I'm stupid. Years later I jumped into Evo X - Evo8 is more rough! easier to work on, less electronics. Sometimes I'm thinking to go back to Evo's! Had 2 DSM's in the past. I was very connected with the car, Great memories---- Something about this car that always itches. btw, 800hp is perfect! nice build for sure! I would do exact same mods. nice review!

Marcus the next time you all are able to come to the u.s. you should really try to hit up that racing channel and see if they will introduce you guys to some cats Florida!. There's lots of 900 all the way up to 1200 + wheel horsepower evo 8 and Evo 9. And I don't know if they sold it but I'm pretty sure TRC channel has 1000 wheel Plus Evo with sequential transmission. Lots and lots Skyline in Florida as well. The amount of between 1000 to 1500 wheel horsepower cars over there is insane. And and the dudes from that racing channel seems super cool and to me it would not seem like they wouldn't have a problem was showing you guys around and introducing you to some people. They're shop car that they're just about to finish in the near future is a 1200 wheel horsepower R32 done right

While the car makes power, the body/interior seems in very poor shape. Rear bumper is not nice compared to the OEM jdm bumper. Little things like the A pillar cover, rear window trim and what not, go a long way to make it look clean again. Anyway nice power and nice review.
