I remember my friend bringing a bootleg copy of the 1st movie when it came out. We watched it countless times. Pausing and rewinding trying to see the details of the cars through the shitty quality, trying to point out the mistakes and making fun of how riced out 90% of the cars were. 20 years later, I kinda miss c-west kits, underglow, big wings, altezza lights, tvs and speakers everywhere, etc. Everything I used to make fun of gives me a sense of nostalgia now and is also part of the reason I appreciate every genre of car culture today.

I felt that the franchise really got away from its roots after Tokyo Drift. I really fell in love with that first movie and all the cars that were in it. It is so cool to see someone that is able to have such a cool collection of cars. I've had a couple 2G Eclipse cars, but never had the money to build a tribute or replica car. That would be the dream to have the green Eclipse.

I have a full size poster of Paul Walker and Vin of the first race towards the train tracks. It is a one of a kind it takes up the whole wall it is 5 sections 8feet by 4 feet each section. Truly one of a kind . I bought it from Blockbuster years ago. You would have to see this to believe it.
