As always the sights and sounds are magnificent. The livestock trucks are really cool. It's good you know the schedule of the saleyard and you can catch the loaded rigs coming and going. Nice variety and a mix of old and new equipment. Thanks again for the entertainment.

@@TheCt300 Oh yes that Jake brake sound was amazing. As you said in the video, we didn't see the truck for a long time but we definitely heard it coming. That hill can produce great sounds that's for sure.

Thanks muchly, I was waiting to see if there would be an R4/24. You like the Titan, then? That hole a he/she/they must crawl through to get to bed scored a big no from me at the time. Volvo was on a retro kick then. They also were saying that they wanted to make their trucks not look so "scary". My view was that they should look as lethal as they are. Compare that Titan's comfort level with that of the Constellation (apx 17.00). Call me soft, but when you have to live in it for weeks or months at a time, I did like to walk in, dress standing up, & have the proper storage to maintain a semblance of sartorial excellence. Speaking of excellencies, here's a pre GFC North-West story for your channel. So I was all loaded & hooked up, the dog runner had left for Wubin with mine, & I was at the BP in Kewdale fueling up, when I got the usual "where are ya" prefixed call that never failed to drive me nuts. It was K/C-W from Nexus saying our truck has left & we've forgotten a box of meat for the butcher in Mt Magnet. (apx 600ks north of Perth) can you take it, & drop it in to him on your way through? So I told him I could swing back through Welshpool past their yard in 20 mins, chuck it on & call the butcher to tell him I'll be there at 2.00 am. Now Magnet at the time had a very bleak looking town centre, north & south split by a wide strip of plain red dirt, & as we were talking whilst he cut me a couple of steaks, I asked him what had happened to the fine lush garden I had seen just a couple of weeks earlier? "Oh that!" he said, we had a hellish time of it, The Governor General's tour around Australia was nothing but a pain from start to finish. The Council called us all to a town meeting to tell us precisely how to behave, we were told to address him only as "your excellency", the chef at the Club threw yet another tantrum & snatched it, so the exalted party had to make do with the rough cook at the pub, & the whole fiasco was "tense". I said, so the Council spent all that money on a flash garden on the main drag & it died for want? Nooo! not that, he said, "the distinguished entourage of "His Excellency", who incidentally looked most regal being wafted along in the Rolls, the car loads of secretaries, assistants, PR people, Federal security detail, the Police Escort, assorted journalists, & other riff raff, were both preceded & followed by a Hiab truck stuffed mobile gardeners who drilled big holes in the ground up & down the road, planted the shrubs contained in pots, & pulled them out again just as soon as "His Excellency" worn out his welcome & moved on. & I thought, that's my taxes wisely spent then. BTW its 2.30 am on now day 2, I'll have to stack 2 at Newman, & I should be able to get 5 hopefully 6 hours sleep, barring flats, at best about 10 or 11 tonight after I'd done the Nullagine Rd up to Marble Bar in the dark, so that I can make the last trailer drop to the workshops at Woody Woody first thing on the following morning. (Woody is in the Great Sandy Desert, & peak summer temps reach up into the 60sC, & stay that way, day or night).

In my defence I did say what a beautiful looking mack,I agree with you about Volvo,a truck should look scary and sound scary.now you know why I don't film many Volvo's native.i agree with you about comfort your living in the truck for weeks,you got to be comfortable.when I was a kid I went with dad in the international 160 cummins,condo to melbourne,we slept on back of the trailer in melbourne,it was great.then we had a pick up in goulburn,freezing,so we slept inside.dad got the bench seat,I got the floor between the passenger door and the gear stick,next morning I said to myself I'm never going with dad again.i was about 13 but i eventually did.what do you think of that beautiful old yellow w model at about 13.30,she's a beauty

@@TheCt300 I must have missed it, will have to watch it again, along with the R5 that's just popped up. Treat for tonight. The Ws fitted with CATs originally had 3406 Bs in them. I used to go with my dad too. He lived long, & only died about 10 years ago. I remember going to his house & he complained bitterly about his failing eyesight, said he couldn't even see the tv anymore, but I just cleaned the screen with Windex & his eyesight improved markedly. He struggled on about 5 or 6 years after his big stroke, & we had to stick him in a care home which he absolutely loved for its ease of access to decrepit old gals, & I got him an electric mobility scooter, but I kept getting complaints from the home that he'd disappeared again so I had to install a secret kill switch because he'd hive off to the bottle shop for a hip flask of scotch & that upset his meds horribly. I hope your old boy doesn't prove quite so troublesome.
