Only the main road from Bandipur to Coimbatore NH 181 is by National Highway. Rest of the inner roads in Ooty (dotta betta, kotagiri, kodanadu, conoor) are state highway SH 15, major district roads MHR 1081, 1073, 995, 1071. The Tamilnadu state actually deserves the thumbs up for maintaining them well, especially in such a hilly terrain.
