OH WOW! I had no idea they renovated the Thunderbird Inn like that! I’m a huge fan of 1960’s interiors. I literally kept saying, “Oh WOW!” out loud while watching the room tour!

The Thunderbird Inn looks very charming. The funny thing is that I grew up staying at such places as Holiday Inn etc so as I have gotten older I prefer the more modern hotels with indoor corridors. Guess I had enough of the outdoor entrances back in the day. It's nice that younger people can get a feel for that type of place with a nicely renovated motel. We have stayed outside of Savannah on trips going to Florida. Thanks for showing us what we have missed. I'd love to explore Savannah some day.

The Thunderbird used to be where all the ladies of the night would take their uhhhhh parrons? Lol but its been completely restored by SCAD students. You should come visit me beautiful and haunted city.

Oh my goodness! I’ve stayed at the Thunderbird Inn myself. I always stopped in Savannah whenever I was on my way to Florida or back home from Florida. I probably stopped in Savannah at least a half a dozen times over the years. One of my favourite southern towns to spend time in. I also stayed at Tybee Island with a number of friends where we rented a beach house for the week. One of my favourite restaurants in Savannah is the Pirate House, where I had the best prime rib dinner that I’ve ever had in my life! Plus the atmosphere was incredible.

I live in South Carolina only a 20 minute ride to Savannah. I go by the Thunderbird Motel all the time. Its as soon as you go over the bridge. Thanks for showing to motel. I always wanted to see what the rooms looked like.

I love Savannah but have never been there. The homes there are so beautifully designed and kept up. It looks like a great place to live if you are wealthy. Very expensive homes that are old but have history behind them. The best part are the streets. Cobblestone streets !!! How great is that. The one thing that I'am not sure of is living on top of grave yards. If they built your house did they move the bodies? Probably not!!? ❤😁❤

Savannah is my favorite place to visit. So unique and so much history. A fascinating book about Savannah and its people is Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil. If you plan to go to Savannah, read the book before you go! Definitely visit River Street while you are there.

I love Savanah Georgia. Since you're in Georgia I would recommend you to visit Amicalola falls state park and Stone mountains. They are both beautiful. Have fun

Be sure to do a ghost tour, at night with a horse drawn carriage, it is very cool. Not really too scary actually, but you can learn a lot of history.

We love Savannah. Best place to eat is the pirate house, delicious peach daiquiri too. Paula Deens restaurant is great. Old Tyme trolley is a good way to get around. River street is nice. Enjoy
