As I commented on Boaty's record of this trip, I first drove a car, my dad's 1956 Ford Popular, near that beach at a holiday let, in 1961- aged 8.

Hello Mustard & Boaty, It's a long time since I've been in that part of the woods, I worked for a drilling co in the early/mid 1970s mostly drilling around north Wales for the then NCB to find & record/core the coal seams. We did a drilling job on Talacre beach, It was something to do with point of Ayr colliery at the time. I remember there being beach huts/wooden homes? There, Still furnished with people's personal belongs still in them (although very run down )as if they'd just upped & left in a hurry, Very strange & eerie. Love the vids. 🙂
