You showed a much better view of the new cabins than anyone else ever has, they do seem nice. Another thing, I thought I heard once that plans were given up on the new resort where River County used to be. I'm glad that they are putting something there after all 🏰

Great update. We booked for September using the campsite discount and can't wait. Under $90 a night for full hookup. Can't beat that nowadays with Disney raising their prices.

Something looks different with the construction new DVC resort. I remember part of the beach was sectioned off because there were some cabins to be built there. Now that section of the beach remains without the construction wall. That would be great if they leave the beach alone.

Hi Scott and Jolly! Did construction on the new resort resume, or is that just the previous progress from before everything shut down? Oh dang, we never got to enjoy the food trucks 🚚. That new net fence by the marsh is a nice addition. We have fished from that spot. Now you can still fish without having to keep an eye out for aligators 🐊. That's really nice laundry building! Although they may not have the same charm as the old cabins, the new ones look pretty great.😊

Hi MyBackyardScience 👋 I believe that there were new permits and now it's going to be called "Lakeshore lodge" not sure how much if any the resort will look like "reflections" . We did have a cast member tell us that those buildings that we showed ( closest to the Fort beach ) are supposed to be 10 floors with 2 buildings. I guess we'll have to keep checking and see how high they build them. Hopefully they will still have the food trucks for special events like Halloween or some other holidays 😁😁😁 not having to watch for gators is definitely a plus 😉 We were really impressed with the laundry building ( it was probably the only time we'll get to see it ). We must say we were pleasantly surprised with the cabins. We were not sure what to think about them and although it would have been nice to keep 1 loop of the original cabins, for people that really would have preferred the "old " cabins, the new cabins are really very nice 😁😁We wouldn't mind staying in one someday 🙂Hope you have a wonderful week 😁

Thank you for the update! We will be there in May. I want to view the new cabins. We also own Riveria Dvc and really thought about buying the cabins, but we still have a camper. I was hoping that the laundromat would also have bath facilities. Just wondering, did you happen to see people riding electric bikes? We didn't bring ours last time because of the new rule but we saw many campers with them.

The sightline from the boat of the cranes and everything takes away from the calm serene feel of the Fort :( The DVC cabin owners have to go outside their unit to do their laundry 😣 From what I've seen in other DVC videos, the other DVC units have their own laundry facilities. I'm sure they could have fit a stackable in a closet in the cabins.
