Why would you not base her appearance on Quentin Blake's illustrations? He worked with Roald Dahl and had his full approval. The first movie with Pam Ferris as Miss Trunchbull was a true homage to Roald Dahl's words and Quentin Blake's illustrations. Please stop reinventing classics and making them worse than their originals. FYI, I love Emma Thompson in most roles, but not this one.

@@ThesmilerHAHAHA Hi there, yes, I know why they did it. I saw Matilda the musical in New York and London (the role played by a man). The change in the new movie is still wrong. Once again, Roald Dahl approved Quentin Blake's depictions of his characters. The new version does not stay true to that. Pam Ferris will always be Miss Trunchbull. It is an iconic performance that still holds up to this day. As much as I love Emma Thompson, I do not think her version of Miss Trunchbull will stand the test of time.
