I think I need to plan a road trip! The farthest we’ve been lately is under 2 hours away, Vail or Tabernash. Lovely, but we’re due for a change of scenery! My husband is a travel princess too. No idea where we’re going or how we’re getting there 😂😂😂 I think it’s better that way.

Well, when you're surrounded by such lovely places, that's not bad. That's true -- sometimes it's better to keep them in the dark.

I learned to drive in a van in Florida, where there were plenty of freeways, and I've had plenty of long/busy commutes over my life as an adult, but I never learned to like it. If I don't have to, I prefer not to drive, so my husband does most of the driving. The only exception is actually roadtrips. Outside of the busy traffic of cities, I don't mind driving on a highway for long stretches. I just pop on an audiobook, and I'm good for hours. My husband gets bored with that kind of cross-country driving, so we switch accordingly. It works out nicely.

Yeah, I don't mind driving long stretches if it's not a high-traffic city, so when we do road trips, I usually let my husband do the first and last legs.

I'm a good driver even though I do have a bit of a heavy foot. However, I can't parallel park to save my life. So glad I live in the suburbs. I love being a passenger princess. Is 3 hours considered a road trip? It's hard for me to get the hubby to leave Illinois. Wisconsin isn't that far away! 😊

Hi Noël! What distance counts as a road trip? Lol. Either way it's been a while for me. I prefer to drive unless it gets to be longer than 11-13 hrs. I'm a good driver. I'm used to country and city roads. Good theme for this month and well curated for the theme.

I wouldn't trust the buckle on that luggage tag. I have rubber ones that you pass through the strap and kind of knot on. Although, these days, I can only go places where I can pack for the time in my backpack (think LL Bean school backpack) because I use two crutches and can't pull luggage and porters no longer exist.

Yeah, I think the buckle would help with this one, but I'd probably only put it on carry-on luggage.

I think I can say with confidence that carrot sticks just wouldn't fit in my snacks bag, darn. 😂😂 I don't like to drive long distances and after my last flight experience I'm pretty sure I won't fly again, so it's staycation for me, short daytrips, or longer roadtrips with multiple stayovers. Travel just ain't what it used to be 🫤

So true! I have some upcoming trips that I just haven't done as much advanced planning for as usual, so I'm kind of letting that go, but certainly trying to put a little more work into next year. There's a lot of extra work these days to make travel somewhat comfortable/affordable.
