Awesome video. I'm an American married to a French woman. We're lucky enough to own a home within walking distance of the medieval village of Saint-Paul-de-Vence. I've adopted France as my new country. I simply love the culture and lifestyle. This past April we took a drive over to the Luberon, with stops in Moustiers-Sainte-Marie, L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, Gordes and Roussillon. It's simply a magical place and such wonderful food. Thanks for showcasing it.

Are you familiar with the French beauty line "L'OCCITANE"? They are known for their lavender. They are based on Manosque-en-Provence, another small town in Provence. They have a lavender museum and also have a spa hotel. There's also Grasse, the fragrance capital of the world. You may want to check them out!

We used to stay at Le Hotel du Gordos twice a year. Wonderful place but expensive. The weather was unpredictable at times, but the sights, sounds, food, and the ambience is wonderful. This Airnb looks superb and I'd love to see where it is.

@@Roamaroo it was, though you should know that there is a village in France that genuinely bills itself as the prettiest in France and it wasn't Gordes! There's a good but expensive restaurant you might like - L'Estellan. The one we loved best - Le Clos du Gustave - closed some years ago and the owner now runs a naturist B&B in Gordes.

Roman power in Provence was over by the end of the Fifth century, so you're off by nearly a thousand years. Yes, 1481 is generally accepted as the date when "the French took it over" (more or less).

The towns in the Liberian are spread out and the easiest way to access is with a personal vehicle. There is a train system, but it doesn’t go to every town. A great tiny town with a train stop is L’Isle-sur-la-Sorgue. Avignon and Aix en Provence are also options.
