We rented a boat and went around the island to and stopped at San't Angelo and had the best pizza of our life, hiked mt epomeo and i feel in love with castiello aragonese we could see it from our air bnb. O'Sole Mio and Rosspormadoro was our favorites but everything out there is amazing. The little cafe on top of Mt Epomeo was the cutest little family owned cafe with the best food. Negombo is a MUST, 30 plus hot springs it was one of my favorites days

I was in Ischia last year and I realized that the people there are very different from the people in Napoli. I had the impression that they are cold and unfriendly. I don't understand how a place so close to Napoli, where people are very kind and friendly, can be like that

This as absolutely one of my favorite places I visited in Italy. It's simply Magical. We went to a winery and the beaches. There are people who are born and die on the island and never leave even though Naples is only 1 hour Ferry ride away! Can't wait to go back. Thanks for the amazing video.

Been to Ischia a few times as I have relatives there. Last trip was in June. Great place if you’re relatively close. Great restaurants And beaches. Not a “happening” place, but great for a relaxing trip with spouse or family. Not sure I’ll visit as my relative passed after a sudden illness a week ago. Glad I didn’t put off visiting her on my last Italy trip.

Absolutely loved this one - the drone footage was superb! The island reminded me of Ithaca, a Greek island next to Kefalonia. I was lucky enough to stay there years ago and it was an island that needed to be explored with stunning beaches and scenery :)

Actually Procida Is the most secret island over there. Ischia is quite famous and big, but of course Capri takes all the credits usually.

@@Roamaroo Eheh the island is super small but the village is very beautiful, colourful and picturesque. It is a fishermen village. The main attraction is the old prison at the top of the hill, that was used basically as Alcatraz and from there you can take amazing shots of the island. Procida Is so small that in one day you basically visit everything by foot and find some relaxing and empty beaches. You can easily check the pictures on the internet.

I visited Ischia with my gf Deb back in September. We took a ferry from Sorrento then just did a whirlwind tour by taxi, lunch right on the water near Castello Aragonese (best bruschetta I had the whole time in Italy!!) then a swim a little further down) We want to go back and stay a week. I loved your aerial shots!

Ischia is located in Naples' gulf in front of the city of Pozzuoli it is part of the "campi flegrei" close to naples city centre! it is not located near amalfi coast! all are part of Campania region

your euro topo is not that precise, Ischia is on the southwest coast of napels in the Golf of Napels, Amalfi coast is on the other side of the peninsula in the east, but nice vid

You got most of it right and certainly gave it a exceptional effort. If I was to nit pick anything you said it would be to modify your tourist vs traveler statement as such: Ischia is for Travelers or the well heeled tourist, as many in the 4 star spa business would attest. I enjoyed your video and the fun you obviously had making it, keep up the good work! P.S. Let me know if you visit again, I'll show you the off the beaten path Ischia.

It's always fun to hear what locals have to say about our videos and it's a great complement when they feel that we did a good job. 🙏 We can never show everything or get it 100% right.. What we were trying to say about that statement is that it might not be a great place for 1st time international travelers. There are other locations that are easier to navigate where people can "get their feet wet". We loved the spas. We spent a day at San Montano, such an amazing place! What made you move to Ischia from Brooklyn?

@@Roamaroo My parents are from Ischia and I visited often as a kid. My parents retired back in 89 but I continued to live in the NY area. Two years ago when my daughters finished with college we decided to retire early and have a change of scenery while helping my sister with my mom and dad. After year of planning we finally moved here in March of 2019. Sadly my father passed on Aug 1st, but for a few months we got to spend time with him. So my wife and I live on Ischia and use it as a base for our travels Europe and go to concerts, shows, exhibits, etc, etc. Next trip 5 cities and their Christmas markets by rail, December moonlight along the Danube.

Too much talk about Airb&b's that are anywhere and everywhere. Where is the tour of composer William Walton's beautiful gardens, La Mortella? It's of the island's gems with fantastic plants and incredible views from the top! What about the amazing thermal/Spa water parks? It's a good idea to read a guidebook before you do a video people! 😅

Mukesh Darabakula Italy has pretty liberal drone laws. You don’t need any permission. Just follow the basic rules.. don’t fly over crowds, government buildings, etc. Are you going to Italy soon? 😀
