Hi Jiggers - Thank you for posting this video about Cavite. I was a refugee who escaped Vietnam in 7/12/1989. The Philippines Coast Guards rescued our boat of 38 people from the far sea. We stayed on their navy ship for 4 days then they pulled our small boat close to Naic Cavite and showed us the way how to get to land. This is the place when we were helped by a few fishermen when we were close to shore. They City Mayor then had bus transferred us to his cock fighting ring and we were treated and stayed there for a few days. Then some Vietnamese Women who married Philippines men during the Vietnam war came and took to visit their houses. We were then transferred to Manila for a month and then to Palawan until US Government came interviewed and brought us to the USA. I wish one day i will come back to visit the place one day... Thanks again for posted this video.

This is the best one I've seen, the camera looks around, we get to meet the people, and understand what they say, we see in their homes and businesses. Great video and I've seen as lot of different ones.

Your video makes me humble. I used to go to a place in Mandaluyong in the early 70s. The place named JORIZ. Reminds me of the people I've met and some I grew up with. Realisinng how resilient they are and how they make the most of what they have and strive to be better. God Bless.

Wow, what terrible circumstances. The Philippines is supposed to be one of the world's richest countries, but it suffers from abject poverty due to how the rest of the world regards it. I visited in 2012 and observed this experience firsthand, as well as the rich side of life. It's completely distinct universes. I've also visited a number of Southeast Asian countries, and the conditions in some of them are similar, which is a heartbreaking shame. I understand that many people throughout the world live in abysmal poverty and are homeless through no fault of their own, but this is absolutely heartbreaking.

Okay, I'll subscribe; I've viewed a lot of videos about slums; what are you planning next? Yes, you can, and your videos will be more interesting if you talk to them about how they earn, how they like their neighborhood, and how boys and girls approach education. How they live in small houses, how young ladies and boys plan their futures, I hope your videos will be more educational, just going on the street is nothing, thanks darling, I'm a lawyer, and I hope one day the government will do something for them, thanks. Best wishes.
