Make it a Sleeper weekender patrol from the outside look close to stock with no bar work, but go all out with Big wheels and suspensions but others keep it quiet from the outside and loud exhaust ❤ love Roam Lyfe

@@RoamLyfe i see you got the torque specs right,, on the 1940,s engine.. go look up specs on an mwm sprint. 4.2tdi.. mine has 700nm.. 97 - 07. still built in brazil, under german licence.. there a german tractor engine. fitted to s/duty & silverado.. had mine 7 yrs, no probs.. 260 ks. 01 s/duty. aus.. just bought a nissan,,so my nightmares begin,,eh..i just dont like toyotas.

@@RoamLyfe waaaaat,, yu need to do,,is piss off that tow bar. put a decent rhs, between the chassis under the doors, weld thru a hitch reciever. like i do..front & rear, for winches.. your lowest point is,, the tow bar..

@@RoamLyfe shoulda used weldable primer, front & back.. welding, do 1/2 to 1'' welds every 6'' to 1', stagger weldes, like torque ing a head.. then weld back to the previous weld not away from it, stops warping..

just a tip! when ever welding a plate or metal on metal, make sure to clean/prep and paint the under surface with a weld through primer , that bare metal that's now exposed under the metal is prone to potential rusting even if fully welded, its good practice! other then that, its looking good!

@@RoamLyfe Definitely seal it but the main issue is condensation behind the plate which is bound to happen with temperature changes then rust will set in I have seen it on a few cars

Yeah I would, sikkaflex will get into all the weld crevices to help seal it the best it can, just make sure you apply and press it in over the welds

You’re supposed to fully weld as it stops the dirt sitting being the plate, alternatively you could weld sections and seam seal the rest!

Congratulations on number 2. I love the chassis braces but the A cut in to it i would be welding up. I am worried water will get in behind it and not get out with the rest being welded up. Keep it up

Do you have to brace the inside of the chassis as-well? or is the outside sufficient enough, been looking into doing mine at some stage!

Oh my last Ute I did the inside as well, I think it’s worth doing on a rusty looking chassis but if your chassis is in good condition I’d say just the outer would be enough!

@@RoamLyfe thanks man. I was doing some reading. Many shops up them to 130psi. Need to advance the pump a smidge to compensate. Maybe that’s why you had to wind yours forward a little. Apparently better fuel atomisation and efficiency. Keen for the build!
