what a great video! another tip - I also land up saving up on unnecessary expenses like atm fees etc in South East Asia - using apps like ATM Fee Saver - it helps find atms with no fees or lower fees than others along with withdrawal limits etc. worth adding to your list of tricks!

So pleased that we have just subscribed to get you to 1000! Just before the new year too! :) This is such a good in depth, honest guide. Could have done with this before we came out here! Since you have made some great videos, i was wondering if you also like watching travel content. If you do, we would really appreciate some feed back on any of our videos to help us improve the quality of them. We would really appreciate it if you could find time to do this. Absolutely no problem if you don't, thanks for taking the time to read my comment :)

Thank you for the tips! Did you plan and book all of that in advance, including hostels and bus rides? Im having trouble deciding between scheduling everything or kind of going with the flow and booking stuff on the go
@RoamwithRach11 ай бұрын
I planned my hostels and transport about half in advance. Totally not needed though (I’m just more of a planner). It would be smart to know the route you want to take and HOW to get from city to city so you’re aware. And then some people just go with the flow and move cities when they feel like they’re done with the current one. All this depends on how much time you have of course🙂 hope that helps!

I travelled from January to April! I believe their dry season is November-March🙂

This may be a stupid question but when u stayed 2 days did u just stay one night then?😊
@RoamwithRach10 күн бұрын
Not a stupid question at all! I went back and checked my trip document but for example I was in Vientiane for two days (Feb 15-Feb 17). I got there on the 15th, slept overnight, slept overnight on the 16th and left on the 17th in the daytime. I hope this helps!

How does the visa work if you I want to travel for more than 30 days? Does it just reset when you go over a border and back
@RoamwithRach10 ай бұрын
Yes if you leave the country and go back in I believe it resets! I’m not sure though cause I just stayed for my 30 days and then left. Maybe check the Thai government website! I know people who stayed longer and I think they just applied for a longer visa

@RoamwithRach5 ай бұрын
I’m not sure! I didn’t track my spending on this trip. How long do you plan to travel for? I did make a video about backpacking Central America where I break down how to budget in general that might help.
